Maria's is very clean, the room was nice and spacy, the old building is great with a roof terrace and a kitchen. It is located right in the beautiful city centre.
In August, even with a fan, the room gets far too hot. Maria's should consider putting airconditioners, to make the heat bearable.
Disadvantage of the location is the noise from the street as there are several cafés and restaurants with sometimes too loud music as we could experience. It is not Maria's fault but the owner of café Aliança decided to put Brasilian Disco on his speakers in the middle.of the night keeping us awake for hours.

Lovely roof top terrace and brilliant location. Helpful staff (via WhatsApp...).
I never met any staff during my stay...but everything was fine! Just bring earplugs if you stay here as it can get noisy - just a result of being so central!

Quite confortable in double room...good location in historical centers
Quite expensive....
Not insonorisated.you can listen noise from outside..the heating for warming room is very small.
Very complex the lock system for the three doors..with 3 codes and not working every time.
The owner is a weird woman who doesn't take care of customers..she just pass by night one time for keeping an eye on you
