I loved the location in the parc.

Everything was fine and perfect for me

The location is great - right inside Nara Park and close to Mount Wakakusa. You can see the deer right through the window! They actually hung out right outside the door, which was amazing. There’s also a great udon place nearby. The shared spaces were another huge plus. The communal living room and kitchen were very spacious, with plenty of room to cook a meal and sit comfortably. It was also really convenient having laundry available for just 300 yen. Overall, it's a great place to stay for a night or two!

The only downside was the bedroom itself. It didn't have any shelves or a wardrobe, so we didn't have anywhere to unpack our things (though maybe this is just common in Japan!). Besides the two beds, the room was pretty bare

Location - as promised, I could see deer from my room Also great for visiting Kasuga Taisha shrine and for viewing the sunset from Wakakusayama hill. No need to walk back through the park in the dark.

As a solo traveller, I found the place soulless and the other guests (all westerners) unfriendly and almost hostile. I had just come from a lovely cosy Japanese guesthouse and this was quite a contrast. I briefly saw the only member of staff at my check-in on day 1. The kitchen area was quite neglected and smelt damp though it was full of facilities I never used. There were no shops nearby to buy food to cook up.
