It,s a wonderful place. Both the beautiful house which, you can see, is taken care of with love. Th location, in a quiet local hood where you can experience the daily live while at the same time close to Osaka. And the owner. Makoko goes over and beyond to help you. He pointed out a nice cycle route for me to my next destination and drove me to the hardware store to get some spare screws!

My stay at this guesthouse was one of the highlights of my time in Japan. From the moment I arrived, the hosts, Makato and Naomi, went above and beyond—personally picking me up from the train station and making me feel immediately welcome. One of the most memorable experiences was the Japanese hot pot dinner they organized. The vegetables came straight from their own farm, and everything tasted incredibly fresh. It wasn’t just a meal—it felt like a gathering. They have a real talent for bringing guests and their friends together, and by the end of the evening everyone was chatting, sharing travel stories, and getting to know one another. The house itself is spacious and comfortable, with plenty of cozy areas to relax. There’s also a fully stocked kitchen if you prefer to cook your own meals. I especially appreciated the hand-drawn map they provided. Location-wise, it’s perfect: a peaceful place to stay, yet only a short train ride from Namba Station in Osaka or Nara, making it easy to explore the area while coming back to a calm, welcoming home at the end of the day. Honestly, my only regret is not staying longer. If you’re looking for a place that feels less like accommodation and more like being welcomed into someone’s home, this guesthouse is truly special.
