The area is very beautiful with breathaking views of the mountains and lake. This was the view from our bedroom. Food was also very good and worth the price. Service was excellent and staff and owners very helpful.
The bathroom was small and the bus does not pass regularly. Best to rent a car.

The view from the hotel is spectacular. The staff are amazingly friendly and warm (and I don't speak Italian) and our room (#5) was spacious and comfortable. The outdoor pergola style dining area overlooking the lake makes a lovely setting for meals. Breakfast was indoors because if the substantial buffet laid out with freshly made coffee to hand.
Nothing, except I personally don't like hard pillows. I have seen comments on the decor but to my mind it was, all part and parcel of the charm and experience.
There is a very large electric pylon in front of the hotel but with the view on hand you soon stop seeing it!

I stayed 5 night on Poggio D'oro. The host is Roberto and his family. They are super profesional. Roberto has "charm" he is every moment careful , he is there for his guests. My holiday at Poggio D'oro was SUPER.
bonus:
-the room was super clean (they change the towels every day)
-I recomend you to eat the menu of the day- is delicious
-the view is breathless

Although I am a senior traveller with no Italian, the kind couple connected me to their daughter who speaks English by phone and we were able to understand each other. The property is a little far from shops and facilities and we were often in cloud. Nevertheless I thoroughoy enjoyed reading and relaxing in my cosy room with restaurant facilities which accommodated my gluten allergy.

A lovely traditional family run hotel with amazing views of the lake. Our room had a lovely private balcony and lake view. The staff at the hotel are kind, courteous and professional. Great fresh breakfast selection, which they kindly made available to takeaway when we checked out very early to catch our flight. We ate in the restaurant one night which has a three course meal offer, for just 20 Euro. Overall the hotel is traditional and quaint which in our opinion added to the charm.

I learned to eat again at the Poggio d’oro. Great Italian (+bergamasc, lombardian) food served on a terrace with incredible sight on the lake Iseo and with good weather to the Adamello mountains in the alps. Will come back. Thanks to the Poggio d’oro team for a great stay.

Charming mountain hotel with simple rooms. Friendly and service minded owners and very nice restaurant with stunning view and tasty food. Perfect base for hilly cycling!
Rooms are simple and amenities are a bit outdated. A refrigerator in the room would have made the stay even better.

Much as the other comments generally. Everything done right, with attentive and friendly staff.
Clean room, good facilities, stunning views, high quality breakfast, excellent a la carte old school menu with local specialities for dinner (useful if wanting to drink alcohol with a meal because it is a ten-fifteen minute drive to other restaurants down and then up a mountainside..)
A general gripe with Continental hotels but no kettle in the room.
Not a complaint but an observation: there is no aircon, so we needed to sleep with an open window and the outside can be a bit noisy from the passing traffic as well as the local cockerel, but anybody coming to a built up area in Italy in the summer expecting peace and quiet needs his head examined anyway…

Very friendly staff.
Low noise insulation of room walls. Quite high price of meals to the portion size. Second day of our accomodation we went by car about 10 km to other restaurant for dinner.

Incredibly friendly and kind staff, super delicious breakfast. We got a room with a balcony and the view was stunning! The room was clean and comfy. Private parking included. Although the restaurant opens at 7 p.m (a common thing in the area) they let us order some food much earlier.

The hotel's location and views are breathtaking. The owners are super nice and gentle. They go out of their way to accommodate every need of their guests. Delicious breakfast, different from any we've ever had. Would not hesitate to stay here again.
