Don't choose the ground apartment

The ONLY thing I liked was the freeser in the refrigerator

Really bad smell with a mixture of extreme fabric softener and mold. The apartment was very humid, there was no window to leave open over night, only the veranda door which we didn't leave open due to the apartment being on the ground floor. The apartment was dirty. There was no chair to put our things/clothes on so we had to put everything on the floor. Do yourself a favor and spend few more euros for a better place! We left before 7 in the morning, just because we couldn't spend another minute in there.

Very good location for a good price!

The apartment is in a walking distance from the train station (about 20 min), easy to find and the instructions regarding the keys were good, so there was no problem to get the keys. We got an apartment as described, there was a hand soap and a toilet cleaner in the bathroom, 4 towels and a rug to step out on after the shower. On the bed there was a fresh bed linen set, and at the sink there were a dishwashing liquid, a sponge and a kitchen towel, and the set of dishes for 2 persons under the sink, including a little pot and a pan. There is also a little fridge with the freezer, where you can store your ice-cream, if you buy one. 😁 Watch for your fingers though when you open it, it is a little difficult because of the tabletop. There is a Netto in the nearby shopping center (10 min walk), that opened until 21:00 (closed on Sundays), where you can by some snacks os something to your dinner or breakfast. All in all - very good location for a good price and my husband and I were very pleased with our stay! We definetely will recommend this place to our friends and family. 🥰

I am sure, one can always find some flaws, if one wanted to. 😉 I wouldn't call flaws what I am going to write now, it is more like personal preferences. The lights are too dark to my taste and the pilows are too low. It also took some time to figure out how to turn on the fridge and the TV, some instructions would be nice to have. 🤗 It was also not possible to drop the laggage at 12:00, when we arrived, but the solution was to store it in the box at the train station (It costs 4 euro, so make sure you have coins, you cannot pay for it with a card. At the station there is an ATM, but the exchange rate is ridiculously high, you can get money there and then exchange it to the coins at the tourist center right there at the station, they closed on Sundays though). However, the bottom line is - it is a good place to stay for the reasonable money. You have everything you need in the apartment and it serves its purpose. 🤩

Decent stay for low price

Low price and friendly help getting inside. For the very low price you cannot expect much.

Room next to entrance to property was a little noisy. Also the curtain could not be rolled down all the way, so all other guests could look into the room. A new curtain to ensure some privacy is very much needed

Near from the city center, good shower

It was not easy to find the keys, the pictures dos not respect the reality, the bed was terrible and check in at 16h but check out at 10:00. All information sent in deutsche and I need to request in english

The bed was ok and not too short. At least it was clean.

1) it was extremely complicated to read the code on the combination lock despite my torch. Only with the help of a young man I was able to read the code. Only after more than 30! minutes we managed to open the box with the key for my apartment. 2) The staircase was very narrow and untidy. You had to keep your head down getting to your room. Nothing for elderly or disabled people. 3) The hotline given on the registration was not reachable. Nobody picked up the phone. 4) no breakfast was included despite the high price. 5) Worn out and used furniture. However, this was only a minor issue for me. The apartment may be good for a big family but not for a single person staying there for 1 night only.

Small and cleam room with all necessary facilities

Small room that packs a lot of punch. Kitchen with all the necessary facilities, and standing fan for hot nights. The shower is clean and comfortable. Beds are on the small side, but are very comfortable. Perfect for one or two people. Instructions for check-in/check-out were very clear.

Parking facility is there, but not easy to find. You'll have to pass through a gate in the row of houses.

Affordable room close to the heart of Flensburg. Parking in the quiet courtyard back of the building. Bed and shower were OK.

In the notice, the room is called "apartment" and In the booking receipt it was written that the room has a kitchen. So it was surprising for us not to find any kitchen in the room (only a boiler and some bowls). It was too late to change our plans to find another room with kitchen and we had to eat outside... Not very bad to start but at least surprising about the accuracy of the notice and the use of "apartment" that can be blurry about what it provides... Before writing these review, I contacted the owner and tell him that we were surprised not to find a kitchen even if it's written in the receipt. The owner was very unpleasant, didnt recognize that there is at least an error on the receipt and even think I was blacmailing him just by telling him that.... Clearly this guy didnt want to assume that something wasn't good, reject all the fault on others and think that because the price is cheap for Flensburg, he can afford a lack of respect to some terms of the contract and to people!

Practical place to stay for one night.

There was no bottom sheet for bed. We took extra duvet covers to take care of that. The room was very small. Another of the pillows smellt like urinary.

Excellent place and a real value for money.Very clean. Excellent location. Well equipped kitchenette. Excellent communication with the property. Very easy access. There is a possibility for early check-in against a fee.

The staircase is a bit steep, and it is challenging to drag a big and heavy suitcase up and down. In my case, I was extremely lucky there to be a kind staff member to help me. Thanks a lot! It would have been great if there were some lockers available for storing luggage.

Do not stay here. Apartment not fit for use

This apartment is not fit for use. Half the room is under the sloped ceiling making it impossible to use. The "kitchen" is laughable and unsafe. The hot plates are directly on top of the fridge and there is barely room to get past the bed. To access the bathroom, you need to go between the narrow gap between a bedside table and the wardrobe. There was barely any cutlery, only "baby" forks, a few soup spoons, several knives, and a few teaspoons. We had to boil the kettle in the bathroom as there was no outlet and no place to put it in the "kitchen". The table is the size of an ironing board and one of the stools sits unevenly. It also is up a steep spiral staircase. Parking place is across the street. Seems secure, but overpriced and it doesn't make sense when there is parking behind the building. Owner will harass you if you complain. Tells you the morning after your first night you could "cancel" if you did not like it after arrival before "sleeping or showering", but property also has a no refund policy. IF I had been informed regarding cancellation before arrival and IF a refund was offered, I would have cancelled. However, I am not made of euros to rebook something last minute. Owner also sends you bullying directions on how to rate the apartment and basically only wants reviews above a 7. This information is repeated on an info card in the hallway.

Functional, however not a place to hang out

According to the review guidelines specified by the host, non-cancelable review ratings start at 7 (minor imperfections/defects) and go to 10 (Top apartment at a fair price.) I appreciate the effort to provide budget accommodation, however I would prefer not to allocate a number, but rather catalog the pluses and minuses I found, so prospective occupants can make their own determination if the Price/Performance is correct for them. Unfortunately the review procedure requires me to reduce my experience to a number, ergo the 5 (average.); The management was accommodating, addressing a personal need efficiently, check-in procedure straightforward; Location is quite handy, a few meters to the shopping street, about 1,5 Km from the station, in a historic section of town. Use Google Maps to locate, NOT the coordinates in booking.com. The entrance is not labeled, one must enter the passage marked "8" into the courtyard and access is from the rear; Bathroom: Water pressure was strong, plentiful hot water, the fixtures not particularly stable, no place to hold items in shower; WLAN was mostly useful but did experience longer dropouts; The only window in the room is a door leading to a "private" ground-level balcony. Certainly pleasant in nice weather. But also requires the shade to be closed the rest of the time to achieve any privacy, as the house entrance is directly adjacent. This contributes to the aura of confinement that the space gives off; Overall I would rate it a satisfactory, short-term experience.

The photos do not quite match reality for Room 0 (Apartment Erdgeschoss, 1 französisches Doppelbett, 12m2) - currently there is no table with chair, which I missed; Except for the refrigerator, the minimal unit in the unlit kitchenette nook was of little use, I personally would have been better served by a microwave and Wandklapptisch; The floors can be quite slick and potentially dangerous with wet feet; Oddly the room contained a number of large flies when I entered - these were easily eliminated; Check-in 16:00, check-out 10:00 suited my timing, however might be a deal breaker under other circumstances

I love Flensburg

I think the place has a good ratio quality/price. It's perfectly located near to the port and the Macedonian restaurant close by is really good It was very clean and cosy for a short stay Looks way better in reality than on the pictures by the way (quite often the opposite so I think it matters to say it)

The door was a bit hard to open so you could be afraid of sleeping outside. But don't worry it just takes a few attempts to master the keys :) Nothing else to worry about it is a lovely studio
