Tekoa Lodge Raurimu

Great location, lovely lodge that is cozy and warm. Has everything needed for a large group. They had the fire ready for us on arrival. Lots of fire wood. Walk down to the river was beautiful. Such a great spot when visiting the mountains.

Small communication issue with 1 less towel than number of people but thankfully we had some spare towels. Could not figure out how to work the oven, some instructions would be a good idea.Beds are not very comfortable but I am known to be a little picky with comfort. These are very minor concerns. The place was amazing.

Sehr großes Haus, viel Platz, Anfahrt und Parken kein Problem. Haus läßt sich bei kühler Witterung mit einem Kaminofen gut heizen, Holz und alles Notwendige vorhanden.

Schlafzimmer waren etwas zu klein, uns fehlte die Möglichkeit, zwei Koffer vernünftig aufzumachen ohne mit Akrobatik ins Bett zu kommen. Leider fiel bei einem Schrank die Tür heraus. Mobiliar etwas in die Jahre gekommen, Sofas arg durchgesessen. Küche und Sitzgelegenheiten ok, ein Bad war ok, aber das zweite ist dringend renovierungsbedürftig.

There were 7 of us staying for the weekend to do the tongariro crossing. The owner was immediately friendly and helpful from the minute I made the reservation. He went out of his way to help provide us with extra amenities that we needed. Carla, the lady who manages the property in David's absence was just incredible. What a wonderful lady. The food was divine, the welcome home with the fire burning was sensational. The warmth and friendliness we experienced here was just superb. It made our weekend so memorable. Everyone said the same. Thank you so much to both of you. You know I will be back 😊

Spectacular grounds, very quiet, great amenities

I like to have a bar of soap when I have my morning shower, and not body wash from a pump.
