Fairhaven Hotel

It was clean and Paula was very polite and helpful. Good location waking distance where we wanted to go and do things.

The decor is dated and on entering the property slightly musty smell. Probably needs a good airing. Shower force slow. Bed low and mattress was too soft for us. The guy at breakfast kept coming over after serving all the food to ask if all ok he must have asked us about 5 times in half an hour. Ideally should have left us alone till everyone finished before clearing away but he was clearing our dishes as they became empty.

Hosts were very nice and informative. Anything you wanted was catered for

Location too far from town centre. Strong musty smell when entering. Very, very dated decor room 8 very small , couldn't move without floorboards creaking and bed very uncomfortable and creaks on every movement. Luckily my daughter and granddaughter were in the room under us ( room 4) and complained they could hear every movement. Didn't like the idea of preordering breakfast. When breakfast received very poor quality produce and staff hovering, couldn't relax ,felt as if he just wanted you out . I realise very old property but desperately in need of refurbishment. Sorry but would not recommend
