Kallithea Hotel

We had an incredible stay. The whole hotel looks fresh and clean. The room was renovated and felt new, extremely spacious, the view was nice as well. It’s a bit on the side of the village but it was only a benefit that it was a bit secluded. Walking distance to the beach and the village, bus stop near by, bakery and cafe literally 2 minutes away. It was super quiet and delightful, even the pool was cute and a nice addition. We rented a car so it was a perfect spot since it’s a quick drive to all the most beautiful beaches on the island and a 10 minute drive to Naxos town. It’s a family owned business, the owner was around quite often. She’s an amazing host, very helpful with any request that we had plus it was great to communicate with her about check in and check out.

Everything was great, you just need a car to move around and the pool was quit small.

The room was modern and comfortable, and we really liked the view. From our room we could see both Naxos Town and the sea, which was lovely.

Unfortunately, the cleanliness could have been much better. During our 10-night stay, it seemed that the toilet and shower were never properly cleaned. The kettle was also extremely limescaled – when I tried to put the filter back in place, my fingers were covered in white limescale powder. There were also no plates or cutlery provided in the room. Another issue was the noise in the evenings. The owner’s son, I believe, was sometimes playing football around 10pm and repeatedly kicking the ball against the wall of the building. One of the other guests eventually had to ask him to stop. As paying guests, we came here to relax, so this was quite frustrating late at night. The hotel is around a 10–15 minute walk from the beach, but we knew this when we booked, so personally this wasn’t an issue for us.

The bedrooms, bathroom and pool were nice, good views from the pool area!

The area itself felt like the ghetto, weird industrial type buildings and lots of rubbish and machinery. As 3 girls, we didn’t feel that safe walking to the accommodation at night. Another review said there was a bus stop outside, this is not the case! We had to walk down to the beach everytime to get the bus. I wouldn’t recommend the location at all, everything is in the port town apart from the nicer beaches. Beds were not comfy. Staff weren’t particularly friendly.
