Prachtige locatie, mooi zwembad. Goed gelegen, Firenze op 50min, San Gimignano of 25min, Volterra op 50min, Lucca op 1u25, Sienna op 35min, Greve in Chianta op 45min, Arezzo op 1u20. Wij hadden een klein appartementje, keuken was voor ons iets te klein aangezien we graag zelf koken, maar voor die paar dagen was het te doen! Goed bed! Alles was zeer proper, badkamer wat klein om er met 2 in te staan, maar wederom alleen goed te doen. Leuk privé terrasje. Vriendelijke tuinman die zo goed als alles regelde, vriendelijk en toegangelijke uitbaters die zeer duidelijk het beste wouden maken van ons verblijf!

Kookplaat mag vervangen worden door iets recenter. Geen uitleg gekregen over de accomodatie zelf. We kwamer er te laat achter dat er kussens waren voor op de ijzerenstoelen. Dus een beetje meer uitleg was welkom geweest. Zo konden we ook de was doen en BBQ’en, alleen wisten we niet waar die dingen waren, een korte rondleiding had dit makkelijk kunnen oplossen (privé en gedeelde dingen waren moeilijk van elkaar te onderscheiden)

Everything was perfect: atmosphere is wonderful, location and views are beyond amazing. Truly a postcard of Tuscany! Very private and quiet, all amenities you need and nice sunny pool. Very warm welcome, we will for sure be back!

The beds are a little bit on the harder side but to each their own preference.

If i had to describe this place with one word, i’d say “heavenly”. My stay in Santa Maria a Poneta was short yet unforgettably beautiful. The villa was absolutely gorgeous, decorated and specially prepared with beautiful materials, you could tell a lot of efforts were made during the process. Every single detail was so well done and thought that i was in awe all the time. If you want to have a glimpse of the true Italian Tuscan life, i’d recommend it 100%, because it is simple, efficiently beautiful and subtle. Everything about the facility was simply amazing, especially the terrace/patio area overlooking the pool which was my favorite, you could rest and have a perfect time overall in these areas. I specifically enjoyed preparing dinner & coffee calmly and then enjoying it in that area. The farm itself is stunning, the entrance area to the gate, the cypress trees welcoming you, the big gardens (which were so well maintained and taken care of) were giving an excellent energy, i absolutely loved taking a walk around. It is an amazing place to relax and enjoy a calm tuscan life. I also enjoyed the presence of the animals of the place, like seeing the horses, the cat and the dogs were paying visit from time to time and it was very pleasant as they were adorable. Lastly i’d like to express again my appreciation for the owners Riccardo and Susanna who were absolutely amazing, so helpful and kindhearted. I had to chance to meet them and talk about the history of the place as well as had the most positive interaction ever. You can definitely tell a lot of effort has been put into this place for it to be so beautiful and perfect. I sincerely enjoyed every second of this stay and i cannot recommend it enough. Also i’d like to thank also Danilo and his sister who helped me kindly during my stay, informing me about everything throughout my stay, they were lovely. I can definitely say i will come back again hopefully for a longer period.
