The complex is above and the East bank of the river. Although there was no view from our house, it was ideally situated being only 2-3 minutes drive from the town centre. There is ample parking space with easy access to our house. Lovely shrubs dividing adjacent apartments both from each other but from the communal paths. Clothes washing and drying facilities are excellent. Would definitely want to stay thee again. The few staff we met, especially Deborah and Lea were extremely polite , well mannered, knowledgeable and helpful.
On arrival, having picked up our key from a lock-box, it took us some time to find our apartment. A location map would hve been very helpful.

Location. Just 5 mins walk to the river and the town center.
The beds were a bit hard. Also the sauna is only open until 7PM.

Great House, weak management
The Hotel Résidence Goélia Le Domaine de Pont-Aven is located in a quiet, very beautiful spot on a hill above the town of Pont Aven. The rooms are exceptionally beautifully furnished, and the nights are so quiet that you can sleep with the windows open. The bed linen is first class, as are the beds. The entire hotel is exceptionally clean and well maintained. It's worth noting that you have to make your own beds. (!) You are also told that on the last day, you have to take the bed linen down to the laundry room in the basement. The typical French petit déjeuner breakfast is really small and consists of pastries, jam, yoghurt and butter. No cheese, no ham, no eggs, nothing. And it costs a whopping €13 per person. If you want new towels after seven days, you have to pay for them.

Quiet location close to Pont Aven
The residence is very well located. It's in a quiet area surrounded by trees and with private parking. It's only a 10-minute walk from Pont Aven, which is a lovely town with plenty of shops and restaurants. If you have mobility difficulties, the walk involves about 90 steps, but there is a slightly longer route by road. The staff are very helpful and you can talk in English, if you prefer. However, pay attention to the reception opening hours because they are limited. Our apartment was very clean and quiet.
The residence has good-sized grounds, but they could be made more attractive for guests, for example, by providing seating and sun loungers in the garden area.

To the Management You have a real problem. You need more staff, more competencies. W-LAN, … You have a location in a 4**** standard and a service like in a youth hostel (or less). Close it and start again. Or change the business (e.g. Crêperie?)
