Very friendly staff, excellent breakfast, well located.
Absolutely tiny room with a window that did not give access to the outside, but looked onto another room. This and the fact that it was very hot while I was there made it hard work.

La Gaffe is a family hotel and it feels like home when I'm in London. I always book there if dates are available.
The staff are always ready to assist if there are things that are a challenge.

Hampstead is a lovely suburb and the accommodation is situated very close to the tube station, although for less mobile people it is up quite a steep incline. The staff were pleasant and helpful, showing us how to adjust the radiator thermostat etc. on arrival. The continental breakfast taken in the building next door, was included in our tariff, was fresh and a reasonable offer and our hosts prepared coffees for us which was a nice touch. All in all it was acceptable because of the friendly staff but as said previously we would not stay again.
The accommodation is in an old building which has small bedrooms and en-suites. The property in general could be described as tired. There was no plug for our sink and a very stained toilet because of age, which is a bit off putting.
As we were only staying two nights, with minimal luggage we made do as we were out most of the time. We did not sleep well because of overhead and next door noise from other guests and the room being claustrophobic did not help The bed which was small for a double room was difficult to get comfortable on. We would not stay again
