Lovely , cosy room. Surprisingly quiet as we were in the middle of the village. Beautiful buildings.
The spa was a bit disappointing. Too crowded, nowhere to sit. Small pool. Sauna and haman upstairs in small little rooms. Not all guests get robes. Tiny changing room.

We loved visiting the pool as a family with a young child it was great. The location is wonderful. We had options for restraints and the perfect overnight stop for our travels.

Stunning historic building that demonstrated it was proud of its heritage.
Nothing, but a minor point was that reception was difficult to find.

Location
Allocated room because we had a dog. Most things about it were wrong but the bed was comfortable

Lovely hotel in a stunning village setting.
Coffee machine in room malfunctioned, but it may have been the operator I.e. me?

Spa amazing. Treehouse couples massage fantastic. Very clean room. Loved waking up with the birds singing and view of lots of trees. Soft cotton bedding. The bistro was fabulous - great food, service, wine selection. It was in the heart of the town with eveything on the doorstep. It’s a quiet location and that is what we wanted.
Nowhere seemed to have ice but it wasn’t a dealbreaker!

Location was great (although not an easy drive round the country lanes) and property was quirky in a nice way
The hotel was closed as was the bar, the brasserie and the restaurant. We were offered a room in the sister hotel down the road but there was only one restaurant available - Michelin starred menu starting at 92 euros per person and no table till 830pm. The village closes on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday so very little available. We should have been told.

We loved this hotel and would definitely return
We wanted to use the pool and steam room before our long journey home we were told that it was open at 10am . We went at 10am and everything was cold ! We did eventually had a steam but had to wait over an hour for it to be warm enough . I suggest if you want to go in the morning don’t go until 11.30am when everything is heated up! The staff were very friendly .

The check in staff were very nice Our room was lovely and as requested in a quiet location . We ate in the Bistro which was fabulous and Abdul was excellent
in advising us on the dishes and wine his cheerful personality made the evening special. The hotel is situated in a delightful village.
There were no staff around when we went to use the pool at our booked time, and we were unable to find any towels to use. The breakfast was ok although the room lacked any atmosphere on our first morning no staff appeared to greet us or any of the other guests for the first 5 mins when the lady did appear it was brief and she did not want to engage with the guests, which was a shame.

Beautiful building in a beautiful village
The shower, it made no sense. Terrible design that led to water going absolutely everywhere. Looked cool though 🤷🏻♀️

Nice room. great shower. We ate in the Bistrot rather than the Michelin starred La Licorne which is part of the same hotel group. The food was very good. Staying was not cheap, but Lyon La Foret remains one of our favourite places to visit. Stunning Village and Market on Saturday morning.
It could have been clearer that the Grand Cerf and the Licorne were sister hotels. For instance the reception for the Grand Cerf was in La Licorne. The parking was confusing and the spa was located at the back of the Licorne. We only knew we were in the right place when we saw the vintage cars which were in the photographs.

The location was excellent, as planned for. The hotel felt like an appendage to the main hotel in the village, The Hotel La Licorne, where our breakfast was taken and the restaurant we ate in which was a Michelin star establishment which was obviously priced as such but was one of the finest eating out experiences we've had even amongst other Michelin establishments. Also the WiFi at our hotel was non existant and had to go to the other hotel for it to work. My advice would be for a truly memorable stay spend the extra for a one night memorable stopover in the very pretty village and stay at the Licorne Hotel and eat at the restaurant. However, be prepared to pay for the privilage.
WiFi and the hotel which felt like an appendage.

The location is superb. This really is the prettiest village in France that we have ever stayed in. The breakfast was very good and the staff very attentive
There is no lift and the winding staircase was steep. We were on the 2nd floor and certainly not suitable for anyone disabled. Our room was small and the separate toilet didn't have a hand basin which wasn't good for night visits
