Antony Hotel Venice Airport

Clean and modern hotel within 8 minutes to the airport. Shuttle is available for 8 euros a person. Nice staff and clean rooms. Close to the bus stop to Venice

We booked this hotel for its proximity to the VCE airport, because that’s where we needed to catch a shuttle to Ravenna for a cruise. We arrived very early (9am) and they let us check in early… for a 40 euro fee. The shuttles back and forth to the airport were about 20 euros each (I think). The hotel was nicer and more updated than it appeared in the photos. It was also very easy (and cheap) to take a train into Venice. Would stay here again and recommend to anyone who wants to be close to the airport.

I just needed a good place as a transition from a late arrival off a flight to see Venice and head to other parts of our trip. It was convenient with the location from the airport and also the parking. Room was clean. Staff was helpful.

*** DISCLAIMER: Agoda website didn't allow to post photos. *** -- Not quick to respond to inquiries via WhatsApp despite the hotel being open 24 hours. Had to use roaming service on my phone to get the hotel's attention on arrival for shuttle service on June 22nd at agreed pick-up location at Marco Polo airport. -- Mother pointed out that shuttle driver (on arrival) wasn't as engaged in discussions as she had to initiate conversation. -- On arrival, hotel room wasn't ready. Waited two hours (from 10am), which was fine as check-in was for 3pm and we wanted to give Housekeeping the time to clean the room properly. Common areas appeared generally clean and tidy. -- *** at Front Desk was helpful in orientation of the city bus (Route # 5 / Passo Campalto) which takes you directly to Venice from the Via Orlanda intersection (from Antony Hotel) at Passo Campalto. Separately, Youssef didn't mention that there's no active restaurants (3 of them in the area) midday. In the evening, they close quite early (6pm), so eat heavily while in Venice. -- Paid $195/night + tourist tax + 32€ shuttle bus (round trip/2 ppl) -- Upon receiving the room at noon (), we entered the room and found strands of women's hair still on the bathroom floor. Not taking any chances with the lack of detail to cleanliness, my mother took it upon herself to disinfect the toilet seat and tub. Noticeable cracks with rust stains were seen around the sides of the tub/shower, which leaked water all over the floor. Had to ask for more towels to lay on the ground to soak up the water. More cracks on the side were also visible that didn't look esthetically pleasing. -- Mattresses and pillows were too firm; requested soft pillows in the reservation. Made sleeping extremely difficult. They need to invest in softer mattresses, otherwise the rest of the room appeared clean. -- Complimentary breakfast was offered with a limited menu -- need more variety! Bacon appeared undercooked; kitchen needs to cook their bacon for LONGER (400°F oven for 22 minutes, turning once). Should use more chafing dishes for other food offered that need to stay hot during food service! Pancakes were COLD! 🤦🏻‍♂️🤌🏻🥶 -- African shuttle driver for our 9:30am departure on June 24th was rude. Never provided a morning salutation (in English or Italian), nor acknowledged / ignored my instructions to put my small personal bag to the BACK of the shuttle's trunk so as the contents wouldn't fall out of the trunk when it was opened. The African driver only acknowledged the other African passengers that were seated with him in the front. American passengers were seated in the middle and were also not acknowledged. He also drove erratically without any disregard for the safety of his passengers. During the drive, you could hear my bag being jostled around. Fearing the worst, my mother and I tried to get his attention before he opened the trunk in English and Italian to wait for me to get out and catch my belongings from falling out. Our cries were ignored. He opened the trunk and my Bluetooth headphones cracked on the ground, damaging them. 🤬 He needs to be discharged from his service to the hotel without delay as someone of his caliber shouldn't represent any customer-facing business. SUMMARY: For what we paid for (should have been $120 CDN/night MAXIMUM being in the middle of nowhere) with subpar service from every customer service touchpoint (inclusive of the kitchen staff), Antony Hotel has the potential to be so much more than what I experienced in my two days there. To the Owner/General Manager: please address these shortcomings with your staff. Thank you.
