Hotel Schöne Aussicht

Beautiful views, location and rooms. The staff were so helpful when we asked for a fan which made the room even more comfortable.

Everything was as expected - There was nothing we didn't like

Balcony room with nice countryside and city view (and the mountains beyond). Nice surroundings. Large room. Good tv and wifi. Can easily be reached from Germany without buying an Austrian Toll Vignet. Easy parking, good breakfast.

No coffee/tea in the room (but reception borrowed us a small water boiler). The whole of Salzburg can be seen from the hotel except for the central castle... hidden behind a hill.

Awesome view , exactly the same as pictures shows. The breakfast is excellent, with lots of variety, which is a highlight. The staff are very friendly. It is away from the city center, which is just the right distance to enjoy the quietness, but not too far. We took the ground tram to the bottom of the hill and use the taxi (around 8 euro on way) to go up hill. And it is easy to go to the attractions by public transport once you reach the bottom of the hill. There is a nice trail walking down the hill to reach ground tram station. We enjoyed the easy hike down in the morning to explorer the city.

It is a pity that the restaurant was not operating for dinner while we stayed, which we were notified before we arrive. There is no fridge or microwave to use, which make it a bit inconvenient, but no hurt. We can use the outdoor table to enjoy the tea with stunning view anytime. But we had to boil the water in the room and bring it down. Our room in third floor and it is a quite lot to go up and down for couple times for hot water. It would be so much better if we can boil or get the hot water in the ground floor anytime.
