Canterbury Cathedral Lodge

Beautiful setting, friendly helpful staff, good breakfast and value for money.

Got a bit confused with where all the gates led to but once we’d used them all we got our bearings.

Canterbury Cathedral Lodge is an amazing place. Even though it is located directly in the precincts of the cathedral, parking is not a problem: you can park directly in the lodge's parking depending on the availability, otherwise the municipality parking is just a few steps away, for a very fair price. The staff is welcoming, polite and helpful, they answered quickly to all the questions I had before my stay. Both the room and the common areas are clean and cosy and the Lodge is surrounded by beautiful gardens. The breakfast is excellent and exquisite, with a lot of variety and quality ingredients. All the guests have a free access to the cathedral and can enjoy walking around the cathedral at any hour of the day.

Lovely location, beautiful grounds around the lodge and obviously the view of the cathedral and the precincts were wonderful! The reception staff were so friendly and lovely thank you. The breakfast was exceptional and a real treat. The night porter was very kind and helpful and the parking was easy and cheap. The room was basic but contained what you needed.

The only thing was the room could do with a bit of a refurbishment and a fridge would be useful with a free bottle of water.

checkin and service were consistent and spot on. The location could not have been any better and the facility was within the walls of the Canterbury cathedral itself so what could be better plus it was very peaceful.

No complaints at all.
