Wont stay again as bed awful!

Chose for its location and price. Breakfast was good value and lots of choice.

Tiny room, most uncomfortable bed, cold until we realised fan heating didnt work despite instructions saying it did and turned on rediator in bedroom which heated slowly, no heating in shower room. Shower not powerful enough and not height adjustable.

Perfect for a break in a long motorway journey.

Warm welcome at the reception desk, and friendly helpful staff throughout. Very clean and comfortable room with easy access. A lovely meal in the restaurant to round off the day. Just a couple of minutes off the M6, perfect for a break in a long journey. A field alongside allowed the dog an early-morning run before a delicious breakfast (for us, not the dog).

A dismal shower - just a trickle of hot water. Then, just as you're nicely wet all over you find the shower gel dispenser is empty. No other complaints, though.

Great Hotel to stay at.

I stay here a lot for work as its just conveniently located. The staff are always helpful and polite. The rooms are always clean and warm and the food and bar a friendly warm place to relax.

Quiet and convenient M6 pit stop

An overnight pit stop to break a very long drive between gigs. 2 mins from the M6, plenty of parking with good CCTV coverage (felt safe leaving most of my equipment in the boot). Arrived late at night, but was still seen and checked in quickly. Room was quiet and warm.

The whole place feels very dated and in need of a lick of paint. Not expecting (or requiring) luxury in a motorway pit stop hotel, but the musty smell and sticky carpet did have me wondering how many low-budget “movies” might have been shot there …

A standard hotel lifted above average by the staff.

Very warm and welcoming staff. One even jumped out of reception to serve me a drink when those ahead of me started to make a large order. Shower is excellent.

Very easy to get to, very clean with great service from the staff, good food that was inexpensive but tasty and a comfy clean good size room where we slept really well. Overall facilities and everything are great especially at the price.

Looks are deceiving, tired exterior with much brighter interior

Main reception staff were excellent on arrival, clear instructions. I was surprised as I entered the building, as the exterior looks tired and gives a bad first impression, however the interior is much better. Good spacious bathroom comfy bed with choice of pillows

The radiator in the bedroom was behind the curtains when they were close which meant no heat would get into the room itself, we had to tuck the curtains behind the radiators. Within the restaurant in the evening menu was basic, although chicken schnitzel tasted great, but felt it was pricey for what we got. The restaurant itself was cold, other customers sat with jackets on. Noticed windows were very very dated so any heat was going straight out. Breakfast was great, buffet style got cooked breakfast with all needs met. In the evening a lot of young staff with little guidance from more experienced staff which led to a very slow service. They did their best

Convenient & friendly

Very convenient just off the motorway & close to the wedding venue we were attending on the Friday. Facilities were fantastic. Very helpful staff on reception, very friendly. One member of the bar staff seemed a bit stressed & was a bit short with a few of the customers (looked Managerial/longish hair) but apart from that, it was a lovely stay.

Friday morning, before 9am there was work being carried out right underneath our window. They were drilling right into the side of the building & it was very loud & lasted a few hours. Not blaming the man working but whoever arranged it, should have arranged the work to be carried out slightly later in the day. It was very disruptive as we were getting ready for a wedding.
