Very cosy and comfortable

The hotel was very nice. The decorations for Christmas were amazing and the people put in a good effort, so that you feel nice and welcome. Very cosy vibe. I had a problem with the shower, but the lady showed me and fixed the issue (she also suggested that otherwise she will get me to another room). Very nice and fast service.

Very nice location by the sea , beautiful breakfast salon with nice view, helpful reception all shifts

The heating of the room was inadequate. Freezing all night. Someone had the idea of starting playing piano at the reception hall at 08.00 in the morning plus the music in the breakfast wakes you up early.... Also it would be nice not to start vacuum of the cleaning services early morning too.... The view of my room was limited to a street. Cant remember if i had option to select another type of room

Walks on the beach in the early mornings and walking to the lobby for free coffee and for the kids hot cocoa there’s also free popsicles there and biscuits also the breakfast was buss

People outside looked through the windows and looked at me while I was changing.

Great location and also the hotel offers coffee tea cookies all included in the same price. Has a great view of the sea from the sitting room.

Favourite Scheveningen Spot

Fabulous location close to some great beach clubs and the Pier. Lovely little touches like a chess set and other games in the living room area. Relaxed, friendly vibe. Rooms looked newly-refurbished and were well-designed - we had a family room and it was like our own little apartment with a small outdoor courtyard area too. We had breakfast one morning over-looking the sea, and there was a good selection of bread with fresh fruit, eggs, meat and cheese. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back!

The hotel is at a very convenient point to go to the beach and there are bus and tram lines to get you at the city centre in 15 minutes. The personnel were very polite. The breakfast was ok, it had a variety of choices. .

The only bad thing was that the room did not have an air-condition or another cooling system, and as the weather was extremely hot (30 degrees) the room was too hot as well, even at night.

Excellent location with wonderful views!

Excellent location with wonderful views! I took the tram from Den Haag Centraal and the stop was super close to the hotel. The lobby has an old world charm and very Dutch feel with modern amenities. I had arrived early and the room was not quite ready. The staff offered to watch my bags while I made a cappuccino via their nice machine and sat to watch the sea view. Lovely dining and viewing area with unobstructed views. The breakfast buffet the next morning was excellent. I had a very private room with a private entrance, which I liked. The room was spacious with a seating area. The bathroom and shower are were huge by any standard. Everything was clean. The bed was soft, like of a foam or memory foam top, with European sized pillows. The floors were warm throughout so no concerns walking barefoot or in socks with the cold weather outside. The few staff I encountered were all super kind and helpful, even with my heavy bag and bum knees. They said that they’re mostly all women that work there, which I kind of liked, so they do all the heavy lifting. Who runs the World?!

There was nothing that I disliked. I suppose if I had to change anything, and I’m being quite nit picky, it might be that I wished I had more room around the bed to get in and out. But the structure of the building wouldn’t necessarily allow for that. The bottom sheet on the bed could be smoother, but it was clean and overall comfortable. The room I happened to be in did not have a fridge, only the family rooms, which is fine and understandable. Just might have been a nice extra.

Absolutely wonderful place! Loved the historic setting and the very tastefully modernized room, which was quite spacious. I can definitely recommend the breakfast option, sea view included! There is a parking garage just across, which is affordable when booked beforehand.

Short break in Scheveningen

The room was very comfortable and spacious and in a quiet location. The hotel was very quirky with plenty of character and some interesting decoration. Breakfast was held in a large dining room with sea views and the buffet had plenty of choices of hot and cold food. The hotel was situated at the end of the main strand and next to a nature reserve with some nice walks around the sand dunes. The staff were also very helpful and friendly.

The bathroom was a little on the small side and it was a bit of a walk into the old part of the town.

We bought cheese from a cheese market and the hotel stored it in their refrigerator until the day we left. Also I wanted ice for my drink un the room and the staff had no problem with the request.

The bathroom was small for big people a little bit of a problem but a small price to pay for the view.
