Chatsworth Guest House

Good standard of cleanliness, plenty of space, easy check-in/out. Noise levels minimal despite being next to a busy road. Easy commute into central London on public transport.

Shower was rather cramped in next to the toilet.

Nice host! Room was good, it's convenient, well located, it's about 10-15min from acton town station.

It was my second time staying a Chatsworth Guesthouse, once again a great experience. Great self checkin service, room and bathroom were clean, beds comfy. Location is great, 10 min walk from district and piccadilly line and bus stops just around the corner. Also a nice and cheap pub across the road for food and beers.

Nothing really

Me and my sister visited during the heatwave so we expected harsh conditions and were very grateful for the room change, that the guest house offered us - we were moved to a bigger room that was placed downstairs for 3/5 nights of our stay. The communication with the owners was also great. The place was very clean and the kitchen was very well maintained.

However, its a house divided to 8 rooms with tiny bathrooms. Our original room was placed in the attic which was completely unliveable even with 24 degrees outside. I understand it's to do with the massive heatwave but the owners should have recognised that the attic room was unfit to live in in that weather and offered the room change for the entire stay or a monetary compensation. We were really grateful that they offered us a room downstairs for the first 3 nights (they called it premium but we didnt see much difference to the other room upstairs layoutwise). The only major benefit was that it wasnt as warm even though it was still very warm but it was still somehow manageable. However the room upstairs should have never been offered as it was truly the worst stay we've ever had. We were hoping that by the final night at least the temperatures in the day and night would make the room fine but because it was so high up that the warm temperature was ever lasting and even with a 13 degree night it didnt get any less warm. Also the location was very poor in the zone 3 which is why we had to pay more for the public transport and it took us very long to get to the centre. Also during the cleaning, they threw away receipts that were laying on our desk that we were gathering and needed to return some clothes that we bought and didn't want but i also understand that it was a genuine mistake hut since they were stacked up in one place maybe it should have raised a red flag.
