Ax 1 Bed and Breakfast

Great location, easy access to the tube for getting around and shops located nearby. Solo traveller but I never felt unsafe.

Some aspects of cleanliness let the place down. Marks on the walls where the paint needs touching up, windows frames covered in cobwebs, top of the light switch wasn’t clean. Shared bathroom pair of underpants were there throughout my whole stay, left by previous guest but never removed by cleaners. Only given 1 small like hand towel, had to buy a bath towel for showering, if it had of been advertised standard size towels were not provided I would have packed one. No ironing facilities provided, messaged and tried calling the property to see if it was possible to borrow an iron but never received a response

The room was clean and the beds were comfortable.

Breakfast options were very limited- we only got bread, jam, milk and cereals. Milk was spoiled and when we reported it, we got accused of boiling it in the kettle (what was proven untrue since the kettle was clean and the bottle of milk was full). We asked for a fresh one and got ignored. In addition, the bathroom’s floor was always wet and there was no soap.
