Lovely old fashioned holiday home

It was a journey back in time. Lovely finished like early sixties, comfortable couch and armchairs, it gave a feeling how living was in such a typical Irish terraced house.

Unfortunately, it smelled a bit like heating oil

Lily's House in Manorhamilton

Very convenient to all areas we wanted to visit. The house was very comfortable & had a good heating system. Plenty of towels, shampoo/conditioner & shower gel. It was situated just at the edge of town within walking distance of supermarket etc., No problem parking outside Lily's on the street.

Had a problem with opening the front door. (this was stated by Kathleen on the instructions). My daughter was good to get it opened, but may be difficult for an older person. Lock really does need to be changed as handle on outside does not turn. Also doors needing a lick of paint as looking very shabby. Back yard shabby looking & would benefit from a paint. House inside would be nice with a few bright cushions & pictures to brighten it up. No wardrobe in 2 of the bedrooms.

Very comfortable and homely stay

Thank you for a lovely stay in a beautiful home. It was clean, comfortable, with everything you could need for a short or longer stay away. It was very close to the town which made it easy for shopping and going out. The beds were super comfortable and wifi signal was good. It had a wonderful homely feel. We are hoping to stay here again in the Summer. 😊

The parking outside was limited and occasionally occupied although this was through no fault of the home-owners. It's just that way all through the town!!

A lovely house with a great feel to it

Kathleen sent all details over full address of house, number to access lock box and where all details re heating/water instruction were. Kathleen put her mobile number if we had any problems whilst we were there. Unfortunately, I was unable to meet up with Kathleen this time due to family arrangements. I have stayed at this property twice now and would recommend it. The house has a lovely feel to it. House is very spacious and very close to the main street (literally 2 mins) bonus it has parking outside

nice place, good value for money

Great location, easy walk to everything in town. comfortable and warm. well equipped, plenty of space and everything you need in the kitchen including oil, coffee, sugar, porridge, pepper, salt, pasta etc. There were some nice pieces of interesting furniture.

The electric shower didn’t work and the internet only started working on the second day when we restarted it. The sockets were a strange round pin version which needed the adaptor to work. The duvet was a bit small for the bed (which was not that big anyway) The garden (deck) was not available because it was too dangerous to walk on.

Very comfortable house.

Kathleen the owner was very helpful sending messages with how I got into the house, if I needed her she is on hand, Kathleen even offered to print forms if I needed her to. Kathleen called around to meet us and was a lovely lady, very informative about the house and the background to it. The house has everything you need and has a very homely feel to it. We enjoyed our stay and where close to the family, it is in a good location in manorhamilton and I would happily stay again.

The mix of plates, delf etc was a bit haphazard, might be nice to just get 6 simple one of each, glasses too.

Vier dagen in een stinkhol.

Ons beviel het meest de locatie.

De hygiene en de aanpak van een probleem door de host. Toen wij aankwamen stonk het huis naar een chemische lucht. Op de benedenverdieping lagen er meer dan 20 dode vliegen. Na 2 dagen luchten en hoofdpijn bij ons waren de stank en de dode vliegen, we vonden er steeds meer, nog niet weg. We hebben contact opgenomen met de host over deze situatie met de vraag of zij chemische middelen had gebruikt. Haar antwoord was dat ze 14 dagen ervoor een "issue" hadden gehad. Nu was ze weg en we konden haar de volgende middag, onze laatste middag daar, bellen. Wij vinden dat zeer klantonvriendelijk want ze had ons moeten bellen; excuses aanbieden en duidelijkheid geven over het issue/de werkelijke oorzaak.
