Everything was great! The owner is super nice. There was free water and a well equipped kitchen. They provide you with towels. Hot shower was perfect. The owner even helped us with an inconvenience we had after we checked out.

Easy to find, we were able to have early check in and store our luggage too. Great value for money!
The beds weren't very comfortable and the sheets on the double bed didnt smell like they had been washed. That was our only complaint.

Everything was perfect at Blue Eagle Hotel. The location was a short walk from the centre of Santa Maria but far away where nights were quiet. And, the walk is well lit and feels very safe even late at night. Everything was clean and comfortable. And, the maintenance was so quick and efficient; we had issues with our shower so I messaged through WhatsApp with the number shown at reception after hours and by the next morning it was fixed! We were very impressed with the quality we got for the such low price w paid. Would 100% stay again :)
We had absolutely no complaints, got far more than we expected for what we paid for.

I think I would have given it a much better rating if I hadn't had that particular room š
ā¢The hotel manager was very available and responded quickly via WhatsApp if needed.
ā¢the staff was very nice
ā¢very good wifi
ā¢Water fountain in the entrance hall to refill our bottles
ā¢the room was very clean and functional
ā¢Airport transfers are available if you book with the manager.
ā¢Big problem: the location of my room! I got the ground floor room, the one that was right to the hotel's entrance door. I was a girl traveling solo so I didnāt feel secure every time ā¦
ā¢The walls are extremely thin !!
So I was woken up all night as soon as someone came in or in the morning when someone left early. What's more, people, not paying attention, spoke extremely loudly and sometimes even shouted; it was impossible to sleep well ! š„²š„²
ā¢There were no shutters or curtains blocking the light, so in addition to seeing people coming and going from my room ( the window next to my bed looks directly onto the hotel's front door), I was woken up early.
ā¢The accommodation is still far from the centre (but ok by foot ) but therefore in very dark street (a little intimidating).
