Amazing friendly guesthouse where you can feel a lot more of the real culture of Cape Verde!
I would recommend this guesthouse to anyone staying in Santa Maria for a much more authentic experience. The owners are lovely and so friendly. It really made my stay. I loved drinking at the bar and chatting with the various people that came through. I’m a lone female traveller and I’m so glad I chose this place. I wish I could’ve stayed for longer! It’s very atmospheric and the decor and the layout is just gorgeous. This place has a real vibe. Thank you!
The bar is only open for a couple of hours in the early evening, which I feel they could be missing a bit of a trick with because I would happily spend all evening there. On the other hand you then have a couple of drinks before dinner and then go out and find somewhere. I had some fabulous conversations with the owner and the guy that works in the bar so make sure that you are back from your day out in time to get a couple of drinks in, it’s really worth it!

Nice size rooms. I personally like that I had a balcony to work. I had gone as part vacation part work and needed a place to work, reliable internet. The accommodation provided all that. Paula was also very considerate in allowing me to work in the communal area and it was juts fine.
