This is a fabulous place to stay. It has lovely traditional decoration, is very clean and close to the main part of Santa Maria whilst also being in a more local area away from the big hotels. The breakfast is plentiful with local products and a different traditional dish to try each day. There is a handy luggage store for your cases on the day you leave. What really makes this hotel, though, is the owner Laurent and his staff. Laurent is very knowledgeable about the area, giving recommendations for local restaurants and things to do. He is always on hand if you need anything during your stay. He really made our stay memorable. I couldn’t recommend this B&B enough.

If you are looking for a truly authentic stay in Sal, come experience the real “morabeza” at this dreamy b&b! The property has nice cozy rooms furnished with style and equipped with fans and balconies. It has a lovely, relaxed atmosphere. Breakfast was healthy various and delicious, prepared and served with care every morning. The neighbourhood is just few blocks away from the beach and they main touristy “avenida”, yet it is filled with restaurants (where mainly locals do hang out at) offering great value for money and tasty food, together with an immersive experience in real day life. Host Laurent did a great job! He went much beyond his tasks to make us feel like home since we stepped in. We had great time chatting with him and we could count on his knowledge of the island and great recommendations about restaurants to go for dinner, typical dishes to taste, places to visit and much more. This add a great and unique value to our trip. Would definitely come back again and again! If you are looking for a place where you can experience Sal like a local, this is for you!

I had a wonderful stay at Sakaroule. The accommodation was comfortable, clean, and in a great location. Everything was well organized, and I felt very welcome throughout my stay.
