Beautiful cozy homely with view of the ocean in the distance. Loved being able to hear the waves crashing at night while lying in bed. The sounds of the birds in the fynbos in the morning really made it feel like a holiday- bird watchers haven! Friendly and helpful host. Very friendly neighbourhood.

Great bath tub, but nothing to hold on to when you step out of a slippery bubble bath. Wasn't aware that there were narrow steep steps to get to unit - fortunately the other unit wasn't in use and we could use their entrance :)

I loved the comfort. The feel of home away from home! Retha was an absolute pleasure to work with. All the little extra touches was a pleasant surprise. Thank You! Will definitely recommend!

There wasn't one thing out of place. Everything we needed was there and more! Maybe hold some firewood on the premises, but that is literally all that was a bit of a shortfall.

Home away from home

Retha is a thoughtful and warm hostess. The place was beautiful and peaceful, and we slept deeply to the not so very distant sound of the sea. The attention to detail was exceptional. You just need your clothes and food. Everything else has been catered for. We had food delivered. Yum. The restaurants in the area are lovely, and the location was perfect for exploring nearby west coast towns. I can't wait to go back. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

A perfect stay in Yzerfontein. All the amenities you would expect and a comfortable stay. We were welcomed on arrival and during our stay spent most of our time between the pool, braai and beach each day. Would surely recommend and revisit for our next holiday in Yzerfontein.

Was clean , big areas and has it's own entrance. Inverter for loadshedding for the wifi and stove has gas burners for loadshedding big plus plus in South Africa.

No place to put your toiletries on in the on-suite , i had to put my cosmetics and toiletries on the bedside table. My own prefrence will be putting up some sort of door for privacy at the toilet. No place to hang your wet towels some hooks at the back of the bedroom door will be nice.

New Years Eve Yzerfontein Style

Really loved our weekend here with the family. There are two bedrooms which are nice and big. One with a double bed and bunk beds (family room) with ensuite bathroom and a balcony overlooking the beautiful surrounding areas. Kitchen is nice and open plan and the indoor fireplace / braai makes for a great place to entertain and be social. Lovely to hear the sound of the ocean at night. Owners and neighbours are very nice people. Would recommend for any time of the year.

House was very clean and comfortable.

The shower in the bathroom would drain the water very slowly meaning while showering water would fill up the shower area. Also the bath plug doesnt hold the water so half way through bathing the bath would be empty. BUT OTHER THAN THAT OUR STAY WAS VERY PLEASANT.

We loved the place. It was nice and cozy and we as a family were able to have a awesome time. Yzerfontein is beautiful and the ideal holiday town. It was half way to most of the places we wanted to see and the braai facility in Sonvanger made it possible for us to stay indoors even with the rain outside.
