The best HOME in the South Africa

Negative reviews are usually the most comprehensive, but this house deserves a detailed description. This isn't just a house, it's a true home. A building with soul. Every room is clean and tidy, the neighbors are wonderful, and the hosts are responsive. Maximum comfort is guaranteed. We stayed with our family for two days, but I would love to live there forever. It's truly magnificent. That veranda overlooking the fields will forever remain etched in my memory. The kitchen and the house itself are well thought out, with everything you need. It's a completely safe neighborhood. 100 out of 10. The best house on the entire coast. Thanks to the hosts for the opportunity to live there!

Great cottage for a getaway on the edge of town with a beautiful view in the morning

Interior. Garden. The view from the stoep. The braai area. Bathrooms. Kitchen.

The bed mattress, a bit too hard. The microwave- very clunky to use, needs replacing.

LOVED, LOVED LOVED!!!!

Absolutely loved our stay, it was so peaceful and spacious. Loved the views and the different birds singing. The indoor fireplace was used to the max! My dogs also thoroughly enjoyed the home and surroundings. The locals were also super friendly and I can highly recommend the butcher. I honestly didn't want to leave 🤭 Can't wait to visit again!!!!

A comfortable, cozy cottage.

This property has everything one might need and more. Everything was comfortable and lovely; we felt comfortable from the moment we openend the door. My kids loved the board games, interesting books and the upstairs bedroom. The rainy weather made the stay even better.

A field mouse made his way onto the stoep while I was enjoying the view, but it was quite fun for the kids to chase it back into the garden.😀They enjoyed the mouse.

We enjoyed our stay here! The house was well equipped. Having an en suite bathroom for each room was really great! We liked the fully fenced garden which made this house a great option for our dogs. We also appreciated the special extras: a complimentary bottle of wine, box of toffees and even doggie treats.

The floor, carpets and lounge suite were full of dog hairs. Floors were not cleaned and big spiderweb in corner of lounge.

Nothing, was put off by the dirtyness of the place. It can be a very nice place if it is looked after.Has a lot of nice features, but the uncleanliness was the issue.

The cottage was extremely dirty. Upon entering we were greeted by cockroaches, spiderwebs and dust all over. Felt very uncomfortable going to sleep because you weren't sure if the bedding was clean. Felt sick whole weekend because dust brought up the sinus issue. The bedding needs to be replaced and pillows also. It looks worn out.

Outstanding facilities and very comfortable. We did not want for anything. The complimentary bottle of wine and Darling toffee as well as special biscuits for the dogs was an awesome surprise and special touch. Would highly recommend this place to anyone and would definitely book their again.

A wonderful experience!

The house was well equipped with anything and everything we needed. Wood, condiments, tea, coffee etc. The rooms were nice and spacious. It was truly worth every cent we paid. I will definitely be back. Sorry I never got to write in the guest book! My sisters and I had a wonderful stay! Thank you!!

The birds were wonderful and it was amazing to just sit and watch them weave their nests, but, we really wanted to sleep late and they were a bit noisy.

Coffee and tea etc provided. Very unusual for self catering so that was nice. Great views, very comfortable, quaint and cute. We felt right at home.

It has everything you need and more, from games to everything for a proper cup of coffee. Sharp knives, spices, games, comfy beds and lounging bathtubs. We had the best weekend away and cannot recommend the space high enough for a relaxed minibreak.

It was large enough and has Dstv and DVD's and it's fully equipped.

The place wasnt really clean. There was lots of spider webs and ants all over the place. Wifi didn't work. The place hasnt been aired or anything. It was really not what we were expecting. It costs us almost R4000 for the weekend. So it was really disappointing.

Nice for friends

The views are lovely from the stoep but depending on the wind it can be noisy with traffic. It's a nice sized venue for three couples and having three bathrooms is a bonus. The kitchen is well kitted out. It was good value.

The cleaning needs closer supervision around the windows, doors and stoep, The upstairs bed is quite soggy and some of the soft furnishings need an overhaul but the host was really helpful in all ways and very apologetic and helpful when I raised concerns.

Not to bad. But property in site need of TLC.

We were staying there in 2017. Nothing has changed. There has been no maintenance or basic upkeep of the property. The garden is non existent. The outside furniture needs serious attention. The kitchen needs an overhaul ..... good stuff in there but some of the dated stuff needs to be removed so that there is a freshness about the place. Bed upstairs needs a mattress replacement. Doors hinges needs maintinance. This is a good basic venue but needs some TLC.
