    Pleasant stay in this well located hotel . The good: Just steps from the Espanya metro stop for L1 and L3 a short walk from the L1 platform. Short walk to the fountains and NMAC and Mount Juic. Good coffee shops both left and right of entrance to hotel. Hotel was generally clean. Rooftop pool was nice (but see below) and view of NMAC pretty cool. Not bad value overall. The "could be better"/things to know: the air con is a bit noisy, the bathroom has only glass/thin walls so not that private if you get my meaning! The pool is lovely with towels and sunbeds (about 12/14?) but it is super shallow... don't expect to be doing front crawl in there! (But nice to sit with a drink and look at that view!). No extra bottles of water after day one which is a real shame to be honest for this price. Breakfast also a wee bit pricey but understandable probably given it's Barcelona. Some aspects of the bathroom fittings looked a bit tired.. grout in shower coming away and sink super scratched I kept thinking it had bits in it. Staff were pleasant but not super friendly like in many other hotels. The gym is adequate but very small. All in all we have no complaints, the above things did not spoil our stay and overall very happy. Thanks!

    My first trip to Europe was an unforgettable experience, made significantly better by choosing to stay at the **Occidental 1929** in Barcelona. The location is truly unbeatable; you are in close proximity to everything, making it the perfect base for exploring the city. The level of service provided by the staff was extraordinary. They were consistently proactive, ensuring that any request was met with genuine helpfulness. A special mention goes to Julia, who went above and beyond by lending us her own cell phone charger—a small gesture that made a massive difference to our day. Beyond the impeccable service, the hotel offers a **fabulous breakfast** spread and a team that is both professional and welcoming. I am already planning my return to Barcelona, and I know exactly where I will be staying. I highly recommend Occidental 1929 to anyone visiting this vibrant city.

    우선 지하철 에스파냐역에서 나오면 바로 앞이고요. 주변에 쇼핑몰이 있어서 식사하기도 좋고 쇼핑몰 대형마트가 있어서 좋았습니다. 몬주익 분수쇼 보시고 숙소로 가서 쉬기 딱 좋습니다.

    To be fair the hotel locations was great, it's close to the city center and only few minutes away from the Metro and located near by many restaurants so you won't be difficult to find any food. The room was smaller than I thought, yet it was winter and I don't feels cold during the winter so it's okay. My room was facing the streets and it's very crowded during new years so kinda acceptable. Unfortunately the do missing few amenities, I was there for two people and they only gave 1 toothbrush (maybe it's eco so we need to share), the table was very small hardly to put anything, they missed to provide big towels for us on day 1 and gives us only in day 2. The check-in for this hotel is incredibly annoying and didn't really helpful for guest. 1. I was told that I need to show credit card (I'd explained that my cc was block and I don't have it anymore), the lady receptionist was trying to explain, and after few argument I re-pay the hotel payment. This is fine, I can accept. 2. When I did re-pay EUR 510 she told me that I can't get my refund from my previous payment because I paid the hotel from two months ago. Then she told me I need to call my bank (in 29th Dec). What makes me disappoint is, she told me it's happen to everyone and I can get my refund after I call my bank, in which in my home country it's already holiday and I probably can only get my re-fund after I'm going home the next week in which I has no guarantee at all! After some argument I manage to get my refund because I can proof that I did paid with my credit card. My overall experience getting ruined by this improper procedure, I would suggest if you want to apply the process then make it proper. If you mind with all the process and looking for this type of hotel then be mindful. Minus the above this hotel is decent, but I won't be coming back just to be treated the same. The receptionist can't even answer my question on the breakfast and told me to ask directly to the other staff, what a service.
