Beaches Chalets

1) The location is excellent, close to Gronant nature reserve, across the road from the beach and ten minutes walk from the train station. 2) Clean and friendly environment. 3) Use of the hotel pool, and spa which is lovely. 4) Comfortable bed. 5) Draws, hairdryer, towels, shampoo and shower gel provided. 6) Friendly staff. 7) Pet friendly.

1) Steps to enter the Chalet are not ideal for a six year old child and a dog. The lady next door had an elderly collie dog who could not walk up the steps at all.. 2) Kitchen facilities are very basic, two ring hob, but no cooker, toaster, small kettle, there were just enough plates, bowls, cutlery for the two of us, one spoon, one water drinking glass-I had to drink water out of a wine glass. Big difference in how the bathroom is kitted out compared to the kitchen. There was a microwave which I don't use. You would not be able to cook a child fishfingers as no grill, I could cook things on the pan or boil. 3) Paradoxically, dogs are not allowed in reception when collecting the key. What am I meant to do, tell the dog to wait on the beach? Send my six year old daughter in to collect the keys and pay? Leave my six year old child outside with said dog? If you allow dogs there has to be a way of collecting the keys without assuming there will be two adults.

Spotless

We were under the impression it was 2 bedrooms.

Great location right across from the beach, we had a lovely sea view. Staff at hotel was very friendly and welcoming.

Little bit of wear and tear could do with a coat of paint in rooms, few stains on mattresses but nothing terrible, shower was very very small.

Location was excellent and use of spa made up for the price and self catering
