The location was private and quiet, although at the rear of the property, there was a working train line, about 50 yards behind the garden fence. That we were unaware of, before arrival.
Bird droppings on the conservatory floor and table, large number of the conservatory blinds missing. The weather was very hot, and complete blinds would have helped a little, to keep out a bit more heat. Although, there was an air conditioning unit in the conservatory, but that was fairly ineffective. The rear, front and side gardens, were untidy and unkempt, and needed to be brought up to a higher standard. Rear garden, there was a dirty towel on the floor, plus a small part of a kitchen drawer.
There were a couple of electrical issues, when we used the grill, it blew the fuse, and there was a broken electrical socket in the lounge. I contacted the host regarding the grill, we sorted the issue quickly, but we weren’t able to use the grill at all.
For a three night, four day stay, there were an insufficient number towels, and only one loo roll.
More pots and pans would have been useful.
Our dog also came across an animal bone, in the back garden, which he proceeded to try to eat, until we took it off him. He could have choked on that.
