A wonderful stay in a great place of the world, Como was fantastic place to visit

The hotel is an exceptional property. Our room was very good and a nice size with reasonable views. Silvano is so welcoming and accommodating.We loved every minute of it.True hospitality and the old fashioned way of running a hotel… Massive art pieces in terms of number and quality… Highly recommended…

Was very enjoyable and relaxing. The staff were so friendly and helpful.

Breakfast was fantastic. The scrambled eggs and bacon so tasty. All the cheeses and meats and fruits were exceptional. Loved the decor and pool was clean.

There were a lot of stairs up to our room the Cavalier suite. Fine for us but maybe not for others with mobility issues. There is no elevator.

We loved it all. From the moment we were welcomed, it was obvious the pride from the team about the place. The building itself is stunning. The rooms are huge and elegant! Breakfast was a feast and it was nice to sit round the table with other guests and chat.

Probably the nicest most friendly place that we have stayed

Stunning villa! All the staff are so friendly and can't do enough for you. We had the Marchese suite which had a balcony a lounge area and large bathroom with fabulous shower. Breakfast was fabulous and open until 11am which is unusual but very welcome, buffet style plus you can order freshly cooked and appropriate relaxing background music, we mostly sat on covered patio for breakfast - terrific! This is a villa (only 6 rooms) not a hotel so you feel well looked after. Everything was spotlessly clean N.B. this property is on a hill some 7 minutes walk from the town. If you have walking issues this may be a problem for you on the way back up to the villa

This place is wonderful, if you would like to relax. The villa is so stunning and the area around. Breakfast has also a lot of variety. Just a few rooms, so they take good care of you. The staff is also very friendly. Would definitely come back and recommend to anyone!

amazing property beaming you back 200 years

it’s a stunning, genuinely renovated 200 year old villa which had a lot of restrictions due to heritage. the staff is wonderful, the host and his son and Puri are wonderful, helpful and kind. The bathrooms are spacious and up to standard, the rooms could be beefed up a bit though without losing their charm. the Lounge, breakfast and reading room are spectacular and given they only have 6 rooms one really feels it’s “your place” Thank you for the great stay

If you are looking for a beautiful italian villa with an historic taste, with extremely nice people, you are at the right place. Just perfect. You can reach the city by walk (about 10mns) and the garden of the villa is beautiful! Hard to imagine you are in Como almost center.

This is a 19th century historic Villa with an incredible athmosphere enhanced with all modern amenities and thought ful service that you can ..sometimes if you are lucky ..obtain in the best establishment of this calibre in the world..it was our second stay in this Palazzo and we hope to return next year again. Consider yourself lucky if you can snatch an apatment here..you will live out a dream! Wonderful discreet service and intimate athmosphere coupled with a memorable breakfast and warm welcoming smile and help of the owners ..it is gem of hospitality.

A beautiful historical villa and the people that work there make it even more spectacular

I cannot say enough good things about Villa Platamone. It is truly a beautiful property and Silvano, Therese and Nic were such great hosts. They helped with everything you need, Silvano even managed to get us a private boat tour last minute and it was fantastic and Therese is a sommelier! She took us to a local winery where we did a tasting. The property is a short walk into Como but far enough away from the hustle and bustle to really allow you to relax. Finally the Breakfast!! Honestly the best breakfast we have ever had. A great start to our honeymoon and if you are thinking about it, just book it!

Everything- great location, very attentive staff, hotel is stunning.

If I was not-picking there’s no fridge in the room but then again a fridge would take away some of the historic feel in the room. So, I’d say it wasn’t really an issue
