We simply didn’t want to leave! ✨ Our stay at this exquisite Italian villa was nothing short of enchanting. Steeped in history and timeless elegance, the villa exudes an extraordinary sense of grandeur, with magnificent antique furnishings, exquisite frescoes and beautifully preserved details that evoke the romance of a bygone era. What made our experience truly exceptional, however, was the impeccable hospitality. Every member of the team offered the warmest welcome, genuine friendliness and attentive, outstanding service that made us feel so welcome. The breakfast offering was as good if not better than a 5 Star Hotel. Villa Platamone has created memories to treasure long after our departure. We left with heavy hearts and one delightful thought already in mind, we cannot wait to return!

From the moment we entered, we were captivated by its timeless beauty, impressive architecture, magnificent ceilings, historic frescoes, sculptures, and beautifully preserved original details. Every corner of this extraordinary residence tells a story, making you feel as though you have stepped back in time. One of the most memorable highlights of our stay was undoubtedly breakfast. Sitting around a magnificent large table in the elegant dining room, sharing breakfast with other guests, was a truly unique and wonderful experience. It felt less like having breakfast at a hotel and more like being personally welcomed into the home of a distinguished Italian aristocratic family. The atmosphere, the presentation, and the entire experience were simply exceptional. What makes Villa Platamone truly remarkable is the beautiful harmony between its rich historical heritage and modern comfort. Preserving such an extraordinary architectural treasure while allowing guests to experience its beauty is something that deserves the highest admiration. We would like to express our sincere appreciation to the owners and the entire team for maintaining this magnificent property and creating such a memorable experience. It is a stunning villa. Breathtaking rooms and atmosphere. Beautifully renovated and I was very grateful that the owner is making it accessible to guests. Normally you only see those villas with a entry fee (museum😜). The garden is big with old trees and a modern pool. The property is 5‘ away from the hiking trail up to Brunate. 10‘ to the old town.

There was nothing I didn’t like!

We spent three wonderful nights at Villa Platamone, and we loved its historic beauty, beautifully decorated rooms, and authentic charm. Silvano and the rest of the staff made us feel so welcome, offering fantastic recommendations, helping arrange transportation, and serving phenomenal breakfasts with fresh fruit, delicious baked goods, perfectly cooked eggs, and excellent cappuccinos. The warm hospitality and peaceful setting made our stay truly special, and we would gladly return.

The sleight uphill walk back from town was a bit challenging, as I have a bad knee, but taxis or Uber are easy to find.
