Perfect 50th birthday celebration

Location is absolutely stunning in the glen next to a river surrounded by sheep and rabbits.

Everything you wish for and more. Velux blind was broken upstairs in the mezzanine but quickly got fixed by the owner. We got delivered fresh eggs that was a nice gesture.

Perfect escape

It was very easy to contact the host for arrival information and they replied quickly, sending all the information we could possibly need, including current petrol prices on the island. The home was spacious, warm and cosy. Exactly as shown in the photographs. The location is stunning. We enjoyed our holiday very much and would definitely recommend this property. Also, would like to visit again at some point in the future.

You have to visit this house.

Everything!!! Caterina is doing all to make you feel home. The house is beautiful, the location is amazing, sunsets are gorgeous, sheep’s everywhere, rabbits, the sound of wind and sheep. The view from each window is astonishing. The kitchen is fully equipped with all needed. We had such a good time, that we barely could walk away.

the cottage is very cosy, well equipped and has a fire place. unfortunately we don know how to setup the fireplace.

there is no aluminium foil provided which is handy to use in oven esp when the oven tray wasn’t that well maintained

Wonderful Ridge End Cottage

This lovely cosy cottage is in a fantastic location, nestled in the mountains on the very top of the Isle of Skye.There are stunning sea and mountain views from every window.The hosts were brilliant, very welcoming, helpful and informative as well as going above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and wanted to make sure we had a fabulous holiday,thank you.

Comfortable, peaceful and amazing experience.

Great views on mornings and evenings. Great for stargazing since there is not much light pollution and it’s very peaceful. Generally very comfortable and would definitely recommend to anyone from families to groups of friends.

Since we didn’t have a car, it wasn’t that easy going around the island since the buses don’t pass by the local bus stop that often. But fortunately you can still rent a driver for the day or do fewer sightseeing than what you would do with your own car.

The property is in a remarkable place in the middle of the beautiful Skye. Although there isn't in the middle of a village it's easy to reach and Catriona gives perfect directions to find it. Moreover it has all the facilities that you can need. The views from the cottage are unforgettable.

Stunning escape from the world

The cottage was spacious, very cosy and the views absolutely stunning. The cottage kitchen was very well equipped and we appreciated the cds and dvds that had been left for our use in the wetter weather. We did a little bit of walking from there and could easily have done more had the time allowed. The remote location was perfect for us as we really felt like we'd gotten away from everything and everyone. It was very easy to navigate the northern and eastern part of the island by car and so much to see, we barely scratched the surface. The owner was very easy to contact and kindly gave us tips about what to see etc. Highly recommend!

If you really want peace and tranquillity, dont hesitate, go to this cottage it is perfect.

I loved everything about from the moment we arrived. The heating was superb and very fast to regulate. The beds and sofas were very comfy and the kitchen and bathroom were perfect. The isolation and quiet were wonderful, just what you need to relax. I loved it so much, that if ever it comes up for sale I would buy it immediately.....WE LOVED IT XXXXX

There wasnt anything I didnt like. The weather was wild, but it is winter and there were 2 storms back to back, but for me that was exciting and spectacular, and we felt safe and secure in the cottage.

Quiet relaxation in great surroundings.

The cottage is very comfortable and well appointed. The hosts were very helpful and thoughtful; when we arrived there was milk, freshly baked bread and Scottish tablet. We enjoyed the location which has beautiful views from all aspects and was exceptionally quiet.

Tolles Haus in schöner Lage.

Tolles, allein stehendes Haus von Schafen und Hasen umgeben. Tolle, abgeschiedene Lage mit super Ausblick auf die Berge im Süden und die etwas entfernte Küste im Norden. Zur Kilmaluag Bay und zum Duntulm Castle ist es nicht weit, aber auch die anderen Highlights auf der Insel sind gut zu erreichen. Wir hatten eine super schöne Woche, nur das Wetter war halt schottisch.

Das obere Schlafzimmer hat gute Verdunkelungsrollos in den Dachfenstern, die unteren Schlafzimmer leider nur Lamellenrollos. Das könnte noch optimiert werden.
