Over all it was superb. It was a treat for my mother in law; visiting Bakewell and Chatsworth House.

The level of cleanliness of the whole property and kitchen was exceptionally well equipped. We really enjoyed the roomy lounge.

We found the property hard to find. The sign from the road wasn't obvious. It would have been good to have given some indicators/ things to look out for.

Great facilities and location.

Well equipped kitchen with washing machine and dishwasher. Provided tea, coffee, sugar, biscuits and UHT milk. Washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets and cleaning products all available. Comfy beds. Great location and dog friendly. Nearby pubs are dog friendly. Farm shop across the road had a great breakfast ( fri, sat sun only).

Front garden is not very secure for dog. Gate can be closed but only small hedging between neighbour and they don’t have a gate, road can be busy at times. Would prefer more dense and higher hedge between properties to make more secure for dogs. Outdoor lighting was limited at night time, some lights on entrance not lit and no street lights near by which made it hard to find in the dark. None of which would prevent us from returning.

Perfect location to explore the area

Great location to explore the area with an amazing walk on your doorstep around Linacre Reservoirs. The Peacock pubs locally are definitely worth a visit. Karen was not there but we had great communication before and during our stay.

A lovely restful escape

The house was lovely - ideal size for the 2 of us. The bed was comfy and the kitchen was well- stocked with utensils, crockery, glasses etc. Our hosts, Karen and Mick, were very welcoming and helpful. We ate in both village pubs ( one a 7 minute walk, the other 15 mins) and the food was excellent in both and everyone was very friendly. It's a vibrant community and close to attractions such as Hardwick Hall and Bolsover Castle.

Everything. The Lodge is well equipped, very clean, comfortable, and nicely furnished. Karen and Mick are the perfect hosts who go out of their way to ensure you have a great stay.

The quality of the furnishings were of high standard and general ambience exceeded my expectations.

This is subjective feedback - the only issue that I experienced was that the double bed was too soft which led to back pain. I am used to firmer mattresses.

Lovely stay at Woodview Lodge

The property is in a lovely village setting and had everything you could want for a family break away. There was a nice garden area at the back and a small patio area at the front. Parking off road. Two pubs in the village. The Three Merry Lads, a short walk from the property, served lovely food at reasonable prices, but check their kitchen opening times. The property owner, Karen, was in contact during our stay, checking all was well.

Super short break for a wedding, wonderful hosting.

Super accommodation with everything you need at hand. Lovely host who knows the area well and can help you plan your visit. Lashings of hot water, plenty of dishwasher tabs and condiments available in case you want to cook as we did; a small terrace area and set in a very pleasant and quiet location within walking distance of two pubs. This place is run by someone who ensures you have satisfaction, she has thought of everything and made the lodge cosy and super comfy.

lovely relaxing stay with great hosts

When we arrived we had warm beers in the car. Karen gave me a cold beer and a chilled bottle of wine upon arrival. Lots of places to visit nearby. The Peacock pub 2 minutes up the road do lovely food.

Absolutely perfect for us.

All on one level so easy with an elderly dog. The hosts were wonderful and extremely helpful. Both lovely and we hope to visit again.

Wonderful experience here. We made the booking at 2 hours notice due to issues with other plans and the owners welcomed us into a warm and comfortable apartment which has everything we needed. There are some great dog walking places / public footpaths / reservoirs and it's a very dog friendly location. All-in-all, just perfect. Having the owners next door was helpful if we had any questions and £30 for a dog to stay is great value:)

Great short break away

Fantastic, peaceful and cat friendly. Beautiful setting with very hospitable hosts. A beautiful stay without any worry. Warm and welcoming arrival by the owners. Upon turning the key to the door of our short stay, it opened up to a stunning holiday let. A true home from home. Every thought or need was catered for. All rooms fully equipped for your stay. Privacy was maintained with well thought out and strategically placed floral barriers and fencing. Warm, cosy and extremely clean. Our two cats thoroughly enjoyed their stay. The open fields, luscious greenery and great wildlife activity certainly kept them entertained. Beds were superb, non obtrusive interior design and an atmosphere of pure relaxation. The area is peaceful and serene. Local amenities were great and withing a short drive. Wheelchair snd disabled access.

Overall a lovely place to stay and convenient for Peak District

Location to Peak District was great. Easy access to Bakewell & Buxton. 2 local pubs both called Peacock were good for food and drink. Nice country park across the road. Front garden was for use by guests but not fully enclosed. Luckily our dog was not left alone. Owners not home but allowed us to use back garden although walls were quite high for a dog. Facilities were great. Fully equipped kitchen.

Front garden for guest use not fully enclosed as only small bushes between property and next door which did not have a gate. The other next door neighbour appears to have a camera that could record you entering or existing the property door. I left a note to advise owner but didn’t hear anymore. The owners have security camera around their property and would have been nice to know this aswell.

Great Cottage near the Peak District

Such a beautiful cottage in Cutterthorpe and only 15 to 20 mins from Chatsworth and thr peak district by car. The beds were really comfortable along with the lounge furniture and because it is all on one level it was great for my Mother in law and her sister who have trouble walking.

There was everything we needed at the property at the owner was very welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble and they were so helpful with information about the local area and facilities that we needed to use. The property was so clean and was very comfortable too.
