Great find.

Absolutely great location, so peaceful and leafy. You wouldn't think you were so close to Chesterfield centre. Parking on the drive for I would say 4 cars. The house is a great size with the huge conservatory as a brill additional space. I see someone has mentioned the sitting room having only one sofa and suggested another for if the house is at full guest capacity but that would just overcrowd it. It's a lovely room to relax in so maybe a couple of bean bags would help but there's a TV in the large kitchen diner and the extra sofa seating in the conservatory which opens up into the dining area so that works anyway with the sitting room as a chill out snug room. Bedrooms are a great size too and very comfortable beds. There are curtains in the sitting room now rather than the net mentioned in another review so the owner is taking note of some suggestions put forward. My sister's and I had a great stay and will return.

Lovely big house with lots of space

The house was very spacious loved the kitchen area which was open plan everything worked well we made meals plenty of utensils,could wash and dry our clothes which was very good as we came with the rain,heating easy to use and warmed up quickly,sofa was very comfy turned into a bed slept well on it all night, beds upstairs very comfortable, plenty of channels on tv, we know the area as we visited family nearby,very quiet,long driveway and big garden,very spacious conservatory,it’s not far from Queen’s Park which is lovely,and walkable to town centre,we will definitely love to stay again it will be perfect in summertime The host was only a message away so very contactable and replied straightaway with any messages I sent.

The only thing was the bath it was abit to high I think it needs a step there to get into,and a rail to get out if you have any mobility problems,at the time I was recovering from a leg and back problem so that would be why I couldn’t get into it, but the bath was quite big with lots of room,maybe a couple of touch ups in places

Perfect for what we needed

Big, spacious property, conservatory area was huge. Very homely.

It just needed to be freshened up with paint and curtain and curtain poles needed to be put up.

Great property for large group/family! Plenty of space!

The house was great for what we needed. A spacious property with 3 large double bedrooms and a comfy sofa bed in the living room. Plenty of parking and a good size garden that was enjoyed by the children. The location of the house is good for exploring the area, walking distance to town and queens park (approx 15 mins with a hill) There was some washing up liquid, tea bags and sugar at the property on our arrival. Open plan kitchen/diner and the conservatory worked really well for our family! The toilet and bath/shower are in separate rooms, worked well for us as a larger family. The host was in contact with me prior to and throughout the stay answering questions and offering assistance if it was needed. We visit the area regularly and would stay at the property again.

The property only had a net curtain in the living room which has the sofa bed which didn't provide much privacy or block out the light. Would be nice to have a curtain/ fitted blind here. There are a few utensils and cutlery in the kitchen, however it would be nice to have more pots, pans, cutlery, larger water glasses etc. Same goes for Bath Towels. The front door was tricky to open/ close and needs fixing. We were notified about this prior to our arrival which was appreciated.
