The Long Hall 2 bed ground floor annexed apartment - sleeps 6

Phil & Buddy are great hosts. Apartment done to a very high standard. Super quiet in a perfect location. Very spacious with all amenities you can ask for.

It was very conveniently located for an overnight stop with my elderly mother

Only bathroom or toilet access is in the ensuite bathrooms so for my uncle sleeping on the sofa bed that meant going through one of the bedrooms which was not too convenient especially during the night

The outside of the property needed a good clean up.As soon as the door was opened there was a smell of damp, we traced one of the reasons to the first bedroom, The bed head was up to the outside wall and when looked at there was mould and cobwebs behind the bed.It smelt so much so that the window had to be left open all night and it was a cold one..There was dead flies and insects in the sky lights.It was not a pleasant stay.This had been mentioned before by another guest previously and nothing seemed to have been done.Initially it seemed ok apart from the smell of damp but other things showed up.When Phil was told he said he hadn't noticed the damp smell yet another guest had mentioned it strongly in his review. This booking was to be a special treat in Chesterfield for my daughter visiting from Spain, she was very unhappy trying to sleep in a cold bedroom with who knows what behind the headboard and bed.I felt so bad having taken booking. coms reviews on this property as correct.
