Great stay just outside Ubud

Staff were amazing. Friendly and helpful. Offered advice when needed. The breakfast was a fantastic way to start the day.

Location is a little outside of town. Whilst this is what we preferred it may not be to everyone's fancy. They still offered a lift in to town whenever needed

Feel at home away

This is where you stay if you want to feel like a part of a family. I want to thank the owner Wik, his wife and his staff ( Putu, Nia, Koman) for their contribution in making my stay so special. The room is cleaned and the bed is fixed every day. The morning breakfast is generous. You can arrange day tours with a private driver at a fair price. Bike rentals are available on site .

Bliss

I loved everything. The location practically in the rice field was so relaxing. I had a room w/ a kitchen and dining area. It was huge. It was so comfortable being there. Great bed, hot shower (sometimes I had to run the water until it was hot). Warm, accommodating hosts. There was some minor dirt in my pool. I was told to use the pool at the sister hotel across the street. Problem solved quickly.

I loved everything including the location not right in Ubud. I came home to peace. It did mean planning travel time on a motorbike. Waiting for a car cab was lengthy. Ubud traffic is awful. Cars get stuck in the traffic.

Great stay

Had a great stay. Friendly staff and owner. They provided motorbike rental at a reasonable price and extended extra hours without charge. Many thanks to them. We arrived late and they waited for us. Good breakfast. Good value for the price paid.

Bathroom wasn't so clean. The tv didn't work. Everything else was great.

Best affordable place in Ubud!

Location, staff and breakfast provided were amazing. There were some issues with the shower as there was no hot water for a bit but it was sorted out at the end. Staff and their service was excellent as we had our friend joined us the night before and they were so accommodating by providing us an extra bed for her.

Everything was very nice and the staff is super friendly and helpful. The room was clean and breakfast was very tasty. We rented the scooter and it was brand new and in perfect conditions.

The bathroom maybe needs a little renovation.

Hidden Gem in Ubud

We had the most amazing stay at Wik’s place! The room was so nice and the hotel was very quiet. Wik was so kind and offered free lifts into Ubud centre, as well as the best deals for activities i.e Lovina, Mt Batur and cooking class. His wife made a lovely breakfast every morning too which we really appreciated. Amazing stay and we would go back without hesitation!

Great Value for your Money

Beautiful little Homestay, very familiar feeling in an authentic balinese neighborhood in the middle of family homes. Be aware that this is not a luxury hotel and that the neighbors are very close by, you'll hear them, smell them and be always aware of their presence. The roosters are crying in the morning even before sunrise and the people get up early and start to work. So bring earplugs if that disturbs you. There are 4 beautiful balinese style villas, 2 made of stone and 2 made of wood. All of them are somewhat open to the outside at several points like the bathroom or the wooden artwork of the doorframe. The villas are clean and the AC works ok. There is a nice deep pool, clean water and strong flow. The breakfast is outstanding and plenty. The pancakes are the best I've ever had. The omelette is delicious. It is about 4 km to the center of Ubud, but the owner offers you a free ride (scooter) to town whenever you want and will pick you up when you want to get back (WhatsApp). He even picked me up from my earlier accommodation in Sebatu and was perfectly on time. The staff is amazing and sooo friendly and helpful. Of course there are things that could be fixed and improved but for this incredibly low price ... what you get is way more than what you paid for. Julia Roberts' house from Eat Pray Love is just around the corner, look it up on Google Maps.

A little slice of tranquillity

This place is absolutely divine, clean and private away from the hustle and bustle. Would highly recommend and would definitely be coming back. The owner and staff were very accommodating and made us breakfast, booked our tours and transport..

A little to far to walk to town however offered free transport. More selection of alcoholic beverages

Amazing stay in Ubud

Absolutely loved our stay here, was easily our favourite stay during our 3 week Bali trip. Pictures are accurate, accommodation is wonderful, clean, everything you need is provided. The pool is a lovely escape on those hot days when needed. The owners/staff were incredibly friendly and always willing to help/check things are OK - the welcome drink as you arrive is a lovely gesture too. Out of all of my stays in Bali, this was the best breakfast by far, you even get a freshly made juice with breakfast if you choose to! The rating is certainly well earned and deserved at Teba Junjungan Cottages!

nice place, good value for money

The host is very helpful and always around! There's a little swimming pool you can use. And a kitchen where you can always refill water, make tea or coffee. The breakfast is delicious. Although it is located in Ubud and it's quite close by motorbike to get to the main shopping and restaurant area, you get the feeling of being in a Balinese village.

The only drawback for me were the loud neighbors from the houses nearby - they start their day very early!

Amazing value for money

Breakfast was fantastic. The owners were welcoming and truly helpful. They provide free shuttles to Ubud centre and give great advices. The swimming pool was very nice. The rooms were clean (they clean them every two days) and modern. 100% recommend

Our cottage door did not fully close leaving 1cm gap which enabled small insects to get in. However you get a mosquito net just in case (all around the bed). Be prepared to sleep with geckos on the walls (but they’re cute, no worries)

Amazing ! I recommend it to everyone passing by Ubud

Amazing place I recommend it to everyone passing by Ubud. 10 mn by car from Ubud Main Street and 10 mn from the rice terrace. Really quiet and peaceful. It’s clean you have hot water and they clean the room every day. Best price/quality you will find for sure. You can rent a scooter directly from there for a cheap price. And Wik the manager of the place was really kind and helpful for everything.

Amazing stay (beautiful cat as well)

We were upgraded on arrival to a room in the rice fields, maybe 100m from the standard area. The room and scenery was so so beautiful! We rented a high-quality scooter for a very affordable price for the duration of our stay, and had our laundry done for a very reasonable price as well. Breakfast was freshly made every morning whenever suited us, with fresh fruit juice and coffee/tea which was a lovely touch. The owner was really kind and attentive and helped us out with any questions we had, including dinner recommendations. Such a peaceful place, would definitely go back again!!

Fantastic option for a relaxing stay outside of the bustle of Ubud

This was a fantastic stay. I am a solo traveler and they helped me with everything. They found affordable tours. They are able to provide transportation very easily. My every need was met with kindness and excellent recommendations.

Lovely stay, but sadly, noisy neighbours.

Lovely well appointed wooden cottage with a big, clean bathroom. Had a fridge, TV & mosquito net. The breakfasts are great and the staff super helpful and kind.

The cottage was the furthest from the wi-fi, so the signal was poor or non-existent which meant having to sit close to the router. The air con didn't work, which was no big deal as it was cool enough at night. As the property is nestled next to others, the neighbours were awake at before 4.30am and not at all quiet. Maybe after Nyepi they were making up for being quiet the day before, but for those wanting to sleep until after sunrise, be warned.
