Brilliant find and perfect for a family of 4. Staff were lovely and friendly and loved, loved loved the facilities near the bar and was perfect entertainment on a windy evening in Ostend.

The perfect design

The design of this hotel is perfect: every little thing is thought about and is in perfect balance. We had a small room but it was spacious enough for two large adults. The bathroom was big enough too and the shower worked perfectly. Beds were comfy and the lighting was good too. The location is totally perfect as it is close to the sea, the museums and many shops and restaurants (including one in the hotel). A nice extra was a token for a free beer and the blue poison dart frogs at the check-in counter.

Our room had a view off a blind wall and a noisy air extraction installation which was a pity. If you don't stay in the room a lot (or just for one night) it's not a big deal though.

Distinctive style. Staff helpful collecting bags at request. Lobby area and bar lovely. Modern, fun ethos.

Needed shower, repainting as lots of scuffs/paint marks, the stairwell for our room needs a barrier as open gap, the vinyl in lift scruffy.

the accommodation is great, comfy and mostly clean.

most of the staff is very nice. just some are absolute unprofessional, unfriendly and not customer oriented. we had a problem with one of the staff members coming into our room without permission in the middle of the night. (allegedly the tv was too loud for our neighbors) still no reason to just get into the room, one of us was sleeping and suddenly a man was standing in our room, this was definitely not fun and we felt very unsafe after. also the cleaning staff came into our room at 9:30 am, even though we had the hanger out to not be disturbed, she also came into the room without permission, even though I told her through the door to stay outside. this was a very unpleasant stay and we will never go back to this hotel again for this reason. we of course tried to get this sorted, but the staff at the front desk just laughed at us and was not able to help us out.

Warm, pleasant and friendly 😊

Location was great, as we were going to the Kursaal. Our Breakfast was excellent and I loved the quirkiness of the whole Hotel. All the staff were really helpful and happy!

The only issue we had was a lack of Vegan options at breakfast for my daughter. I did request this when we booked and the reply said this would be okay!

Room was great and view. Breakfast amazing. Facilities for kids great too

One lift only which was always full at check out. Had to wait more than 20 minutes when leaving and finally we took the stairs. I have bad knees so this was painful and inconvenient. Frustrating as during our previous stay one lift was broken.
