An immaculate, welcoming and comfortable place to stay that is within walking distance of the exceptional botanic garden

No access to kitchen was unfortunate however, clearly stated on the ad so my own misdoing. Noise in house travels a little bit so bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper Pillows were very soft for my liking.

A comfortable stay in a location that worked quite well.

Mike allowed us to drop off our cases early and was helpful with laundry and in other respects. The room and bathroom were generally very clean although there were some dust balls roaming the floor. We had a very nice shower, but the tub was out of order at the time of our stay. The bedroom was good size and we were comfortable in bed. It was helpful to be able to do some laundry after two weeks on the road. The location worked for us with the Metro and Botanic Garden nearby.

"Luxury" is probably stretching it a bit when compared with other accommodation, but certainly pretty good. The decor is perhaps a little ostentatious for my own taste. Not inexpensive, but competitive in a generally overpriced city. Limited eating out opportunities nearby.

Good location for Canada Line, but no local shops

Close to Canada Line, so easy to get into downtown, Canada Place and the Airport. Nice café just around the corner, waking distance to Elizabeth Park and Van Dusen Botanical Gardens. Room was good size, with kitchen area, but lack of local shops made it less useful.

Couldn't work out if we were dealing with Mike or if he was just managing the place. Back garden was very untidy. Bed squeaked everytime you moved. No remote for TV. Some noise from other guests rooms.

Overall we were happy to stay at Mike's

Very convenient location for sky train and bus routes and part of the Queen Elizabeth park with beautiful big cherry blossoms (sakura) trees is just 5 minutes' walk distance behind the complex. Mike is caring and very helpful with information you need to know.

Some dusting (or mopping) would turn the first floor brighter (others are fine). And don't think guest(s) are to be penalized for late show up (we were trapped by unexpected bad traffic accident and BC road construction which we did not want either) as the room has been paid in full for the first night anyway. Hope that could be a re-consideration.

We enjoyed our time at Mike’s!

Tea and coffee supplied for breakfast. The location was within few blocks of SkyTram and Elizabeth Park/Seasons Restaurant, a beautiful place.

Since we were in a residential area, food options were limited. A big shopping mall across from SkyTram is under construction.

The room was big and with all the amenities we could want (fridge, kettle, water bottles, tissues etc.). Mike was really friendly and accomodating: we were 2 hours early but he prepared the room as fast as he could so we could settle. The house's location is good as it is close to a metro station.

Lovely place to stay.

What a smashing place to stay. So clean and the host Mike gave us all the information that we needed. The house was a four minute walk to the Sky Train which can get you to Downtown and Vancouver and Vancouver International Airport in under 20 minutes for both locations. Absolutely exceptional. If ever we're in Vancouver again I will be asking For a stay at Mike's.

Safe, ideal location and comfortable amenities

You can't beat the quality/price ratio for this accommodation, which is exactly as pictured in the listing. I especially loved the location, which is steps away from gorgeous green spaces, a vast array of great restaurants and nightlife, and public transit taking you anywhere you need to go in the city. Not only that, but Mike the host is very warm and helpful. I highly recommend staying here, it will elevate your experience in Vancouver.

Good place for a couple of nights for transition travellers

Mike seems like a nice, friendly person, who is happy to help if needed and is also available for a chat. The location is good, it’s close to public transport and the airport. There is also a beautiful park nearby and a few shops within short walking distance. Laundry is permitted for an extra $10/load. The room was specious and comfortable.

All rooms are located on the second floor and are reachable via two flights of stairs (I don’t remember it being mentioned in the description but maybe I missed it). If you have a lot of luggage like I did, Mike kindly offers to leave your heavy bags downstairs. The only negative for me would be that the cleanness was not 10/10 (the blanket cover had dry snort on it and there were hairs on the bed) but I had my own sheets/towels which I used, so it was ok.

I liked · Mike's house was very nice and clean, Mike changed my room to a room with a private bathroom for a small fee, it was my first time to Vancouver, Mike helped me a lot to find the places I needed. find. He was very helpful. He was friendly ,kind and helpful. Access to supermarket, subway and Starbucks with a ten minute walk, access to the Skytrain and three bus stops in less than five minutes to access all parts of the city. From the airport you can get to Mike's house in six stops and less than 20 minutes. If I come back to Vancouver I will choose here again

Mike is very hostile and not friendly at all, may be because we are blacks.

The Location is quiet and very good with easy transportation access to any part of Vancouver city. The Wi-Fi is fast and uninterrupted.

Mike is very hostile and rude to us, maybe because we are black. He kept us outside in the cold for an hour on the check-in day at night. He even threatened to kick us out if we don't behave ourselves. He was not helpful in anything. I still can't believe Mike treated his guests/customers this bad.
