convenient but not comfortable

the location was excellent; it was central to many good eating locations including genuine authentic Greek cuisine at Eugenia's. Difficult for taxi to stop and unload because narrow street but we walked 5 minutes to main street. Helpful landlord's staff. we had a power outage when we were there due to roadworks in front of the complex.

This property has a problem. We actually received the keys from the outgoing occupant and we could not go in on early check in as the cleaner needed to clean before we occupied. However the landlord allowed us to place our bags inside. The review of 5 October for the Poseidon room confirmed what the outgoing occupants told us. Thye property's problem is that the bathroom is not ventilated. the outgoing occupant's review told us that the apartment had a sewerage smell. It was a musty stale smell which meant you had to keep the bathroom door closed. We could not stay long in the apartment except to sleep but ventilation was definitely an issue. I don't know Greek building codes but in Australia you cannot have a structure approved unless there is a ventilated wet area. we stayed out as long as possible.

A neglected apartment that should have received a 10

The location is great, the apartment is clean and spacious, the bed is comfortable, and the mini kitchenette met our needs. The host provided a PDF with all the information we needed, was quick to respond to questions, and even organized transfers for us.

The images online depict the apartment when it was newly renovated many years ago, and sadly it appears no maintenance or upkeep has been done since. Paint was peeling from the ceilings, many of the floorboards had shrunk or were chipped, only 1 of the 3 light globes were operational in the bathroom, and everywhere you looked there was something not quite right. Overall, the apartment looked and felt worn out and unappealing.

Great location, great host, very safe!

Perfect location! So many nice restaurants around. Felt very safe, across the road from a lovely hotel. Great communication from the host who sorted us a taxi etc at last minute. Room very spacious.

It’s pretty noisy outside - mainly there must be a bar or something that empties its glass bottles at 2am each day.

Fantastic stay and close to all sites.

Room was clean and set up with enough beds as requested. Location excellent walking distance to so many sights. Host was very responsive to all my messages and offered to help with airport transfers and gave advice on how to get around attractions.

There was no window covering on one large window, I’m sure that’s going to be replaced.

Location was great. The room was large and clean. It was very nice. The cats that live outside were very cute. We cooked fish from the local market and had a great dinner. The cats outside ate the leftovers. Great Time!

We were happy with location and easy to get to. Basic facilities but all that was needed with a starter coffee pod set, & bathroom amenities. Comfy bed and easy communication with host as required if queries. Price against location was value for money and covered required needs.

Worth booking BUT NOT luxury!

Really good sized apartment, very comfy bed. Amazing location & you are no more than 5 - 20 mins stroll from everything. Great water pressure in the shower too. Reliable air con! A really good base for any solo traveller or younger couple so would recommend it.

By UK standards this is 100% not luxury, cheap furniture, clearly needs a refresh & some investment...this could be made amazing! Would advise that it is like a decent Travel Lodge in a great location. Note that the hotel across the road empty their trash at c1am each night so expect to be woken up! Church bells at 7.30am too! Oh & let's NOT discuss how you navigate not being able to flush loo paper down the loo!...owner needs to make it clear on where you need to dispose etc...she was lovely about it & offered to help etc.

sweet location

this apartment is located in Plaka walking distance to acropolis, museum, restaurants and shops, we loved it. spacious room, clean with great water pressure in the shower. our hostess was super helpful, she even arranged transportation to and from the airport.

Lack of maintenance meant there were many problems. Air-conditioning leaked onto the floor. Many broken items. This had obviously been broken for a long time The owner/management had a bad attitude.

Spacious, very clean, well located property perfect for a family. We took two apartments between two families and we had a great stay. The air conditioning was amazing in the Athens heat. Very friendly helpful host.

Across our room is a big Hotel Parking and at the middle of the night around 10 pm and 2AM you will hear trash collector/ hotel employee dropping all the bottles/ glass in the garbage box . Very loud noise and It bothers me and my husband. The street is narrow. You can here the car passing the street.

We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend staying at Plaka Heart! We would definitely stay here again.

The location was great, 5-10 minute walk to the train station which was convenient. There is the main Plaka Square with shops and restaurants only 2 minutes away and then 10-15 minutes away from other main areas of Athens (Monastiriki Square, Syntagma Square, Acropolis). Very large room, good air conditioning and bathroom. Kitchen had a coffee machine and other appliances.

We didn’t like how firm the mattress was but we found that to be quite normal across Greece and obviously subjective to the traveller.

Superb

Very spacious stay with family very accommodating to our needs. Close & walking distance to main Attractions, Restaurants, Bars, Shopping etc. Big Thanks to Anne Maria being a great host to our stay in PlakaHeart. Transfers from airport to our stay & taxis were all spot on perfectly timed also very helpful with info to Tourist Attractions, Great communication over WhatsApp. Will stay again next visit to Athens with out hesitation. Good

The location is excellent, very close (10-15 minutes) to many sights, including the acropolis. It's self-check in, the hosts are very detailed in the instructions (which you will receive several days before the arrival), and they also provided us with a very nice brochure with tips for what to see, where to eat, good spots for photos, etc. They were very responsive to our questions. We stayed in Hermes apartment, is was fairly spacious, it has a well equipped mini kitchen. WiFi was very good as well.

It was noisy. This is my only complaint. The building itself seems fairly old, and the walls felt paper thin - you could hear the apartment next door, the corridor and the ones above. Also, the street itself even though very small, generates a lot of traffic, both from pedestrians, and cars, and the windows isolated barely nothing compared to when they were open. There was also construction work going on across the street, which meant more noise and that you couldn't pull up the blinds during the day, as you would have the workers look directly into the apartment - not nice for privacy.
