Rastoni Athens Suites near Acropolis

The area was great. Nice big room

A little noisy bring above the restaurants but once shutters were down it was fine

Really well situated for exploring and helped us fit a lot into our short stay. We got the X95 bus to and from the airport, even at 4.45am this was very safe and easy due to the central location. Property is well decorated, lots of space and everything we needed for our short stay. The iron was very useful too and I enjoyed use of the coffee machine.

The first night of our stay we were disturbed a lot by what sounded like moving of furniture in the block from the early hours - positively though with the shutter down we weren’t disturbed at all by the bars below. I was a little concerned about the repeated emphasis of making sure the front door was unlocked before posting the keys through the check-out box. In the event of a fire, a door locked from inside would be very dangerous. Earlier communication regarding check-in - we were 10 minutes away when we coincidentally received a message from the host asking us to inform them of our arrival time 15 mins prior. Had we been a few minutes earlier we’d have been completely stuck and lost on the street. Perhaps a message the evening before would be a safer option. Although housekeeping in a 2 night stay can seem excessive, this was the only property in Greece where our toilet bin wasn’t emptied daily during our stay.

Location - great neighbourhood to be close enough to everything but not on the main tourist areas - gave us more of a feel of 'living' in Athens. Small kitchenette (even though we didn't use). Balcony. Decor. Easy of getting in.

Bathroom setup was a bit awkward and would have been tough if we had 3-4 people in the room - was ok for a few nights and 2 people.

We liked the location as it was close to many restaurants and venues for sightseeing.

There was no staff available. There were three seperate keys to enter the property with 3 seperate doors. It was a big hassle to enter and leave each time. When we arrived, we notified the property of a couple of damages. They only acknowledged one of the damages on a cracked glass top on the table. They said the other was from our suitcase which it was not. Upon leaving, they sent us a bit complaining that we didn’t notify them that the glass that was cracked expanded. We did not notice it had expanded. They said they were going to evaluate the expense to replace the glass and insinuated they would charge us. We let them know we would fight the charge if they tried as the glass was damaged and should not have been left yhere to begin with.
