in general, the apartment is ok, it is clean and the location is very close to the metro station and the bus station for the Ciampino airport destination
the mattress on the bed was very worn

We were pleasantly surprised by the size of the accomodation, a double bed in a separate room for the adults, and a detachable sofa bed which translated into two single beds for the kids. It was difficult to get an impression of the size of the apartment from the pictures on booking.com.
The accomodation is on the ground floor and has a small private outside area for a quiet drink in the evening, just make sure you bring some mosquito repellent..
The host was very friendly and met us on arrival with the keys. Street parking was available nearby free of charge, and subaugusta metro station was a 5 min walk, so location was very handy to go to the city centre.
As can be expected in Rome in July, it was hot. The apartment did not have airconditioning or fans so it was a bit uncomfortable come bed-time. Leaving the windows open was not really an option because of the noise on the street, traffic, as well as late night revellers returning home. We managed by keeping the kitchen windows open to get some air circulation, but 1 or 2 simple fans in the apartment would be a welcome addition in the summer months.
Also it was possible to hear the upstairs neighbours when they woke up around 7-8am
