Great propoerty in historic location

Brilliantly situated gite right on the square in Sainte Mere Eglise - you can even see the parachutist on the church roof from the bedroom / longe windows. Nice spacious and light upstairs dining room / kitchen, with three bedrooms on the downstairs level (along with another kitchen), was a good separation. Great to have two separate showers and two separate toilets. The washing machine was also very welcome!

Nearer the time of our booking, we were contacted to ask if we wanted bed sheets, or would supply our own. I know it is fairly standard practice in France but really do feel that it should have just been included in the price / better communicated when booking. For August, the area got very quiet in the evening once the tourists had gone for the day. The tranquility was nice but it did mean fewer restaurant options, etc. Not the fault of the property - which was great - and there are still ample options / the choice to eat comfortably in the gite. The gite is over 2-3 floors, with nothing on the ground floor other than the entrance hall and stairs up. Not a problem for our stay but there is no lift so those who can't easily navigate stairs might struggle.

Fantastic location to operate out of for a tour of Normandy.

The location was incredible...literally across the parking lot from the famous "paratrooper church". The third floor portion of the rental was exceptionally nice...very comfy.

Finding the property is a bit of a challenge, but the host, Fabienne, sent photos to show the odd entrance, down a long cement causeway to the door. It's all quite odd, but once you find it you're fine. Lock box has the key. The property is 3 stories with narrow stairs to each floor...obviously no elevator in this old building. The top floor is worth the rental.

Great location right in the centre of town. Great space for a family, 2 bathrooms, good kitchen and amenities. We only stayed one night, but it would be a good place to base yourself when exploring Normandy. Cheap paid parking out the front. Happy.

De locatie is heel leuk aan het plein. We gebruikte 2 appartementen waar in totaal wel 10 bedden zijn. Zeer vriendelijke host die meteen een vraag beantwoordde. Het klein supermarktje Epicerie Arno is geweldig voor een basisboodschapje en veel variëteit aan kaas en drank.
