Charming accommodation in an excellent location for exploring the area

The location is excellent, near to the motorway and a lovely town on the river estuary. Very pretty and a large Carrefour for shopping nearby and very easily located. Petrol station in town as well for refuelling. Massive dairy producer nearby so lots of lovely little Fromageries to try out local cheeses. The accommodation was of a good size and well provisioned with towels and bedding. There was plenty of equipment to cook with and a large fridge/freezer for shopping. It is charmingly decorated and has all the amenities you need. Our host Marie, was delightful and very welcoming. She lives next door so no problem if you need anything or have any questions. The shower is a walk in in a decent sized bathroom and was perfect for our needs. Bedding clean and fresh. Electric shutters on the bedroom windows mean you have a very dark room which is great.

The toilet is at the back of the ground floor property and so to access from the bedrooms at the front you need to walk through the sitting room and kitchen at night. Not a problem for us but one of our guests had some mobility issues so wasn't keen on getting up at night to go. The seating is low and as a tall person (and one with hip replacements) I and one of our other guests, found them too low to enjoy comfortably. The beds were also low - the double bed has a comfortable mattress but the two singles are too low and need a mattress that is more suitable for adults ( we felt they were more suited to children). Pigeons - there are some nesting in the barn roof which is fine, but they do make a bit of noise scratching and walking about and we wondered what on earth it was at first! It was quite the talking point in the end as it sounded like they were having a party sometimes - you cannot hear it from the two front bedrooms though, so that's a positive point.

Would stay again

It's cozy, had a great outdoor area. The host is very hospitable and thoughtful. Cookies, coffee, teas. Made sure we had enough bedding and towels and pointed out where she lived and asked us to come to her with any questions at any time. We really liked her.

The shower drain has a distinct odor. It's probably the older plumbing with no good way to solve it. We left a plastic bag over it which solved it for us.

Not what we booked!

The location was great, Marie was helpful. Isigny is a lovely town.

The whole apartment stank of mould and damp, Marie advised us as we arrived that's why she'd kept the door open. There was an ancient stairlift still on very narrow stairs. The toilet was at the top of the stairs separate only a cold tap on the sink. This wasn't the original place we booked it had been double booked so Marie offered us this, I agreed as assumed it would be the same as the one advertised it was not. It was really shabby ( not in a chic way) and unkempt and was nothing like the original advert. Would not stay here again.

The hostess was really pleasant

The place has an awkward layout and is uncomfortable. Cheap mattresses and bed linens. The beds were not made. Place full of stuff gave the idea of uncleanliness. Horrible decor. Bad experience.

A great place to spend the night

a superb house in a slightly strange format but one that worked nevertheless. it was spotlessly clean, had a well stocked kitchen, plenty of outdoor space and room for our dog. less than 1hr to Cherbourg where we were catching a ferry, Les Sauges is perfect for shorter stays with beautiful park and river/coastal walks nearby. Marie was very friendly and accommodating!

Quite a small kitchen space, would be difficult to spend long stays there, but perfect for shorter stays.

Situated very close to central square with all shops as well as the river for long walks (~ 30-60min) Charming and comfy design Easy parking, pets allowed, very friendly host

Charming host met us at the door. Easy private parking. Lovely courtyard with plants and outdoor and covered seating areas. Handy for the shops, bars and port area in the town. Very well equipped inside with two good sized bedrooms, and various seating areas. Good kitchen facilities.

Spacious ground floor of a house. Had all basic facilities for our one night stay. Undercover area for storage of our bikes. Greeted by Marie on our arrival and departure. Supermarket nearby and can recommend Le Central for Pizza.

Nos recibió la anfitriona desde el primer momento. Amable, facilitadora, ESTO ES MUY IMPORTANTE!!! Entorno tranquilo, puedes ir al centro en un paseo agradable. Fácil aparcamiento fuera y dentro del inmueble. Hay gasolinera y supermercado a 1 minuto. Apartamento: Tiene TODO lo indispensable para la estancia. Entorno silencioso, amplio, limpio y agradable. Como es zona se campiña, hay palomas libres en una zona muy delimitada dentro del entorno del apartamento, pero la anfitriona limpia a menudo.

La qualité de l' accueil et la gentillesse de la propriétaire. La maison est très bien placée, au calme dans un écrin de verdure avec la possibilité de garer sa voiture. Par ailleurs, la maison est super bien équipée en literie et vaisselle ce qui offre la possibilité de séjourner plusieurs jours sans problème.
