Once in a lifetime is enough

The house was near the centre of Saint Lo. We could store our bikes and charge them in the small garage. The beds were comfortable. The wifi was very good.

1. There is a facial recognition system to enter the property which the host took a long time to explain whilst we stood half in and half out of the house in increasingly heavy rain 2. The bedrooms and one toilet are on the second floor and the shower room and another separate toilet are on the ground floor. You share the shower room and kitchen with the host and his son plus any other guests 3. There are 3 double rooms on the second floor but to access one of them, you have to walk through another bedroom so the occupants of that room have no privacy other than a flimsy curtain at the end of their bed 4. The host gave us very detailed instructions about the rules of the house and we had to sign a form to say that we had read, understood and agreed to them. 5. Breakfast is in the small kitchen with room for only 3 people. Breakfast was 12 euros each (the fruit and pastries were not fresh) and you must wash up 6. You are not allowed in to the kitchen until the exact time for breakfast (e.g. not even to fill a kettle to make tea in the room before breakfast time) 7. You are instructed to mop the shower room floor after your shower and to sit down when using the toilet (men and women) 8. You have to ask for towels, we were offered a hand towel and had to ask for a larger towel 9. We were presented with a form to score the property which the host insisted we completed before leaving; we felt under duress during this process. If you score 2.5 or less and the host does not agree that the review is objectively justified you are threatened with legal action (see attached photo) 10. The host offered us both interior (secure garage) storage and exterior (less secure courtyard) storage. Even though we had confirmed before booking that there was a secure place to store our bikes with no fees mentioned, the host charged us 5 euros per bike to put them in the garage 11. One person arrived early and had to wait in the rain for 1 hour before being let in

Séjour très agréable

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour. L’accueil a été chaleureux et le personnel très attentif, toujours à l’écoute et réactif à nos demandes. La température dans la maison était très agréable en journée, on s’y sent bien. La chambre était propre, fonctionnelle et confortable. Les repas sont de qualité et préparés avec soin. L’ambiance est simple et conviviale, ce qui correspond parfaitement à l’esprit du lieu. Nous recommandons sans hésiter pour un séjour agréable à Saint-Lô.

Court mais intense

Le petit déjeuner était très bien, pas d'horaire restrictif, très bon et correspondant à mes attentes. La chambre propre , grande et agréable.

Penser à placer la sonnette à l'entrée plus visible. Mettre un panneau d'affichage afin que le client ou cliente sache qu'il/ qu'elle est au bon endroit. C'était la première fois que j'allais en chambre d'hôtes, j'ai beaucoup tâtonné avant de m'assurer que j'étais au bon endroit, pas assez d'indication pour quelqu'un comme moi qui ne connaissait pas ce concept. Après plusieurs minutes je me suis autorisé à entrer à l'intérieur. J'ai été accueilli très fraichement par le propriétaire qui n'était pas content que je sois entré. Après une altercation, il s'est adoucit et a été très sympathique, m'expliquant qu'il avait réagit ainsi afin que je comprenne que je ne dois pas entrer ainsi. N'ayant pas vu la sonnette, je n'avais pas d'autres solution hélas. Le we s'est ensuite déroulé dans d'excellentes conditions. ...

Super séjour dans cette belle chambre d'hôte

La maison était très belle. L'accueil de l'hôte était très chaleureux. En que locataire beaucoup de liberté d'entrer et sortir de la maison sans dépendre de l'hôte. La maison est belle, pleine de cachet. Et propre. Joliment décorée.

Insomma... comme ci, comme ca...

l'host è anche il padrone di casa e si capisce subito che ci tiene molto, forse anche troppo (io non faccio togliere le scarpe a nessun ospite in casa mia, perchè lo considero poco educato, ma se proprio lo volessi fare, gli farei trovare pronte delle pantofole usa e getta, tipo hotel, non certo quelle usate da chissà chi e quanto) La casa è disposta su 3 livelli collegati da una piccola scala a chiocciola, con 3 camere al secondo piano: una tripla minuscola, dove a mala pena ci si gira in tre e due matrimoniali, di cui una nè piccola nè grande e un'altra più piccola divisa da una semplice tenda dagli altri ambienti. Allo stesso piano si trova anche un micro-bagno cieco con water e ancor più micro lavandino; un secondo bagno con doccia si trova al piano terreno ed entrambi sono in condivisione tra le 3 camere, quindi tra tutti gli eventuali ospiti presenti. Al primo piano si trova la piccola cucina con un tavolo a mensola con 2 sgabelli, quindi non mi pare si possa stare seduti in più di due persone contemporaneamente. Non abbiamo fatto pasti e colazioni, quindi non mi posso pronunciare sulla loro qualità. Nel complesso insomma una sistemazione discreta per una, due notti massimo.

Scale scomode e rumorose, bagni mal distribuiti. Un appunto finale, ma secondo me importante per l'host: i giudizi da parte degli ospiti NON si raccolgono alla tua presenza, perchè per definizione sono 'segreti': i miei 10, come penso la gran maggioranza di quelli che citi, li ho messi per non avere discussioni sul momento, ma non fanno alcun testo, quindi evitiamo di citarle come esempio di poca coerenza da parte mia, in quanto piuttosto dimostrano il contrario.

Une "petite chambre double" avec "vue sur la rue" est en réalité un réduit de 6 m2 sans porte ni fenêtre. La petite fenêtre en question est située dans un couloir commun. Impossible tout simplement de rester dans ces conditions.

– Le logement est sécurisé avec un système de reconnaissance faciale, un peu technique au début, mais cela reflète le sérieux du lieu. – L’organisation des espaces (chambres à l’étage, salle de bain au rez-de-chaussée) peut surprendre, mais tout est très propre et bien pensé. C’est même pratique : vous pouvez prendre votre douche tôt ou tard sans déranger les autres. – La configuration de la maison est clairement expliquée, avec tous les détails sur Booking et sur place. Il suffit de bien lire. Vraiment, rien à redire ! – Le règlement de la maison est présenté dès l’arrivée, avec un formulaire à signer pour garantir le respect de chacun. Très pro et sérieux ! – Le petit-déjeuner est servi dans une petite cuisine conviviale, à heure fixe. Les produits sont simples, mais tout y est. – Quelques règles d’hygiène sont demandées (nettoyer après la douche, s’asseoir aux toilettes), ce qui garantit un espace propre et agréable pour tous. Un séjour atypique, très bien encadré, parfait pour les voyageurs qui aiment l’ordre, la sécurité et une ambiance familiale. Je recommande vivement aux gens sérieux et positifs.

À éviter à tout prix. Trop petit, pas d’intimité, on ne nous mets pas à l’aise pour séjourner à cet endroit. Dès le départ le propriétaire est sur la défensive en nous prévenant de ne pas avoir trop d’attentes comme multiples personnes qui ont passé avant nous. Ça commençait mal! Les autres voyageurs devaient passer par notre chambre pour accéder la leur, seul un rideau gardait un semblant d’intimité. Désastreux. Au préalable j’avais l’intention de ne pas laisser aucun commentaire mais après avoir oublié deux bouteilles de vin à cet endroit, le propriétaire n’a même pas pris le peine de communiquer avec moi. C’est la goutte qui a fait déborder le vase.

Personnel trop invasif, literie pas très confortable car les draps sont de mauvaise qualité et plein de parfum (pas terrible). Insonorisation inexistante entre les chambres, on entend les moindres respirations des autres locataires qui ont, qui plus est, un accès direct à la chambre séparée par un rideau. Des traces douteuses marrons sur la lampe qui n’apparaissent pas sur les photos.

Dopo un po’ appare una persona che poi scopro essere il proprietario che parla solo francese Gli dico che sto cercando un alloggio prenotato su booking e fa un mucchio di discorsi in francese che non capisco Poi iniziano le regole della casa : Le camere sono al piano di sopra e non è possibile accedere se non scalzi o con i calzini Quindi ho dovuto lasciare lì stivali sotto così non si sono asciugati e ora puzzano di muffa. Il proprietario non mi consegna le chiavi … tanto dice che c è lui che mi apre. La camera che è una sala non dispone di un armadio e nemmeno un qualsiasi appoggio per i miei vestiti quindi devo buttarli in terra sopra le borse La porta della camera non si può chiudere il proprietario dice che c è più valore nella stanza che nei miei bagagli …ah poi mi chiama perché non avevo rispettato la regola 2 : quando si fa la doccia bisogna passare lo scopettone , perché ci sono sotto ospiti. Beh più che giusto ma ci saranno state 2 gocce e poi so limite pulisci te che i miei 57 euro se no a cosa ti sono serviti se devo anche pulire EVITARE ASSOLUTAMENTE QUESTO POSTO sia per il tipo di struttura ( potreste ritrovarvi a dormìre in un salotto , sia per il gestore un assoluto ignorante che non prova nemmeno a spiegare le cose. E comunque prima di fare il gestore fai un po’ di viaggi così capisci quello di cui ha bisogno la gente quando cerca da dormire

De passage sur Saint Lo, l'hôte nous a très bien reçu, les lieux sont très propres et les lits très confortables, le stationnement est possible en face de la maison. TV dans la chambre et code wifi à disposition, 3 types de petits déjeuners proposés.
