The location was perfect for visiting family in the area. It is also within 15 mins drive to Beamish, and not much further to Durham and Newcastle. For cricket fans, it's only a 10 min drive to the Durham County Cricket Ground. We had a lovely rural view towards Newcastle. If you want somewhere quiet, then this is the place for you. Our accommodation had everything we needed for self-catering, and was spotless. It had it's own private parking spot. Picnic tables are provided, which we used to watch the sun setting.
If you are like us and like the solitude, then this is perfect. If you like to have lots of facilities like shopping on your doorstep, then this may not be the place for you.

What an absolute gem of a location and property. It was absolutely beautiful and we shall be back.

Absolutely home from home , everything you could need for a vacation is provided for you . Thens there’s the location, 10 mins from centre of Durham, close to both Seaburn , Northumbria. Fantastic location. My second visit to Plawsworth Hall . This time I had to ask for an extension to our stay as forward travel plans had to be cancelled due to illness, this was no trouble at all , the extension was granted immediately giving us both stability and reassurance. Thank you Plawsworth hall and can’t wait for our next visit .
