Really close to the city centre, secure allocated parking space, excellent communication, good sized bedrooms and living space. Well kept and clean.

The parking situation definately impacted the whole trip, we were 2 families coming from different locations so it would seem obvious we would need 2 carpark spaces. The apartment is advertised as free parking, no need to book..we only got information that one space was available after the booking was non refundable. I felt very deceived by this. I challenged it back and got a ridiculous response. I got told the nearest public carpark was a few minutes away. Indeed it was , it would have cost us over £100 to park here for the duration of the stay- hardly free parking. We had already paid nearly £1000 for this apartment. Due to this we had to unload hundreds of pounds worth of heavy equipment from our car, pay £65 to park away from the apartment. The equipment then had to be loaded upto and down from the apartment. My husband now has a hernia due to this insane heavy lifting. The person we were with is in a wheelchair so there was no way we could expect them to park outwith the apartment. We met a rep from York City lets, she was pretty rude and quite unhelpful. Ironically the carpark was less than half full for the duration of our stay and I felt a resonable solution could have been reached. However there was no interest from either booking.com or York City lets...they had our money, falsely advertised free parking...this should have clearly stated for 1 car only !!!
