Everything about my stay here was perfect. Peter was a delightful, kind, lovely man who provided a warm, cosy, serene stay for my 5 night stay here. I was here as a base for a course at Derby University and my 'commute' was a beautiful footpath walk across fields and across Markeaton Park to land me right outside the uni. Mackworth House Farm is a lovely old, characterful farmhouse, and greetings from the gorgeous young pointer, Grace, and a sense of peace and privacy whilst knowing that I could ask for anything if I needed it were the icing on the lovely cake. Stunning morning sunrises over the fields made my early morning runs from here extra lovely too, and being able to walk everywhere was perfect for me.
This was the perfect stay, there was nothing I didn't like!

Fabulous host, beautiful location. Spacious suite on the top floor, and very good value for money. Very dog friendly.

Location was beautiful , peaceful ,garden full of ripe fruit trees . Ideal location to stay for our nieces wedding , which was up the road .
Peter was a lovely host , helpful, welcoming .
Peter had put a fan into our room to cool it down a little.
Requires a little more house keeping , bedroom was dusty , marks on the carpet .
Lots of stuff between the second double glazing .
The separate bathroom (although next door )
