Lovely room

Great location. Lovely house and well appointed room with nice furniture. Very large and comfortable bed, spacious bathroom with great shower and feature bath. Fridge provided was useful. All nice and clean with good heating. Host was easily contactable and very helpful.

Unable to use wardrobe as it was closed and had no handles.

Lovely room and bathroom all very clean soft white fluffy towels nice toiletries. Very comfy bed.

Struggled with the key box and entrance pad but got there in the end.

Great location? Beautiful lodge very comfortable and super clean. We stayed whilst attending an event in the evening. Went out for breakfast. Very comfortable sleep.

Great place to stay!

Great place with large room and lovely bathroom. Very secure parking and easy to find. Highly recommend going to The Harrington Arms for food - absolutely fantastic and just over 5 mins drive away!

Found the bed to be very firm, but that’s really a matter of personal preference!

King bedroom with king-size bathroom!

The location is good. Near to Spondon train station and we used our bikes to explore Elvaston Castle Country park and nearby villages. The room is comfortable and the en suite bathroom is amazing, with a deep bath and rain shower.

The pillows were not very good quality. This was surprising with a deluxe, kingsize bed. Otherwise the room was great.

Clean, excellent condition and great self service

There was no breakfast attached to this booking.The accommodation was spacious, very clean with modern fixtures and fittings. There was a communal living and dining room where you could very comfortably sit and enjoy your meal.

Brilliant overnight stay at Borrowfield Lodge

Good location if you're exploring around Derby. Very secure property and Nigel the owner really ensured we could safely access the building with excellent instructions. Both the rooms were lovely. Everything we needed for a relaxing stay and a great selection of hot drinks and water which was really welcomed. Very comfortable bed and lovely big bathroom. Plenty of parking also.

The pillows were uncomfortable for me but the bed was comfortable. Could have done with a much larger fan for the size room.

Lovely little spot!

The location is quiet and peaceful, nice peaceful cottage type feel place to stay. Owner is 10/10 with customer service always on hand to support his customers.

It was only the gate to get in, it’s definitely a good system in place but you need to wait for that gate to fully open one door is really slow and if it is not fully open it will close on you and you have to start the whole process again. This was only the case for driving out, so patience is needed.

A home from home. Stunning property and gorgeous accommodation.

Borrowfield lodge is a delight. Great location, 3 clean, beautiful, comfortable and tastefully decorated rooms. Tea and coffee facilities with fresh milk, fridge and kettle. Luxurious accommodation. We had only booked one night for the two of us and we were staying with friends elsewhere in Derby for the following three nights. This turned out to be appalling accommodation so we left, spoke to the host at Borrowfield and he was able to accommodate us and our friends for the three nights! It felt like we were ‘coming home’. Our friends loved it also.

Brilliant for a short visit!

Location was great, room was wonderful and Nigel (and his mother in law) were exceptional - thank you for looking after us for our short visit. I love the security of getting into and out of the property and if travelling alone, I would have felt very safe.

The only thing I would note is that the cushions in the room could do with a wash but aside from that - brilliant!

Very pleased

We had a wonderful stay at this accommodation.The space was incredibly spacious and squeaky clean. Despite being located on a busy road, I was pleasantly surprised by how quiet it was inside, perfect for a good night's sleep. The host was also excellent in providing plenty of helpful information both online and in a detailed welcome guide.

Really nice accommodation, very clean and well equipped with secure private parking and fast WiFi. Good communication with owner and easy check-in/entry. Close to the M1 with a big Asda for fuel and supplies nearby, so altogether a great place to stay.

Lovely place

Easy parking, place was nice and clean and had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable. Bathrobes were provided. The video instructions were helpful. The location was convenient, being a short drive away from both Derby and Nottingham.

You could hear other guests talking loudly, which probably can't be avoided in a house. The bathroom was separate to the room, but private.
