Perfect rural escape

We had the most lovely stay in this quiet, rural BnB. Hosts are a very kind couple. The breakfast was excellent, we were able to have dinner one night and that was delicious too!

We loved our stay at Chanteloup! + The hosts were incredibly welcoming and helpful in spite of our limited command of Francais. + The breakfast was excellent each and every morning (we stayed eight nights) and was a perfect way to start the day. + Beautiful location overlooking the fields and forests of the Ardennes. + Quiet and relaxing rural environment. If you need to do some shopping a short drive to La Roche can provide everything you need. + Spacious rooms with comfortable beds. + Reading lights for all the beds are great! + Large and bright bathroom with a walk-in shower and separate bathtub.

If you don't speak French it might be difficult to communicate. They spoke little English and I am not sure about other languages. But they tried hard.

Not a place to go off season.

Nice location

We booked because they had a restaurant on site but they were unable to accommodate us on either of the 2 nights we stayed there. We had to travel a distance to a nearby village where we could only get chips. The bed was really uncomfortable as it was 2 mattresses zipped together and they kept separating. Also they stated on the site that we could have an English cooked breakfast but they only provided continental breakfast. The room was not made up daily or fresh towels provided. For over £115 per night it was extortionate for what was provided. Very disappointed!

Really nice friendly hosts! The fire at breakfast was very enjoyable and the views when the sun came up were beautiful. Good breakfast with everything you'll need. We were in a bit of a hurry when leaving but they took the time to wave us of.

a remote stay in the heart of the ardens

we stayed for 2 nights at July 2022. the family room is pretty large, the beds are comfortable. the building shows its age, but for a inn in the middle of nowhere it was fine. the hosts are very nice but don't speak English so communication was a b**** but they seems to really want us to enjoy our stay. the breakfast was pretty nice, although more fresh vegetables were appreciated

maybe it's petty, but it was weird to stay at an inn, not 3 feet a way from several cows and still get uht milk. no air conditioner

Comfort in the nature.

Breakfast were fabulous, like an open buffet, with quality product. Bed and pillow were super soft. All of the equipment were working smoothly.

Communication was only in French, not a big issue though.

Great authentic place in a beautiful little village

Beautiful setting, super clean rooms, very friendly landlords We just love the village and it’s surroundings. Instant holiday vibes: chill and relax. Good breakfast.

A bottle of water in the bedrooms would have been nice. And some fruit or eggs at breakfast but that is really nitpicking.

Zeer proper Super lekker ontbijt, we kregen de vraag of en hoe we ons eitje wilden. Het is een zalig omeletje met spek geworden. De avond ervoor hebben we van het optionele diner genoten. Wat een verrassing. Allemaal zoo LEKKER!!! De gastvrouw is de naam Chef waardig. En de gastheer de naam Maître Aanrader!!!

Het was buiten aan het vriezen en de kamer was onverwarmd bij aankomst. Een uurtje later was het een stuk beter, maar toch...

Absolute Top Lage schöne Zimmer und Gastraum und ein sehr schöner Außenbereich Wir waren 5 Motorradfahrer auf einer Belgienrunde, guter Ausgangspunkt für Fahren z.B. zu den Museen Leckeres Frühstück, mit Allem was das Herz begehrt, jegliche Art von Eierspeisen Omeletts usw,. Sehr nette Gastgeber die uns bei allem unterstützt haben Tipps usw. Sehr zu empfehlen ist es dort zu Abend zu Essen, man muss aber zuvor reservieren ideal noch vor der Anreise, ein kulinarischer Traum (siehe die 3 Fotos kleines Abendmenü 35€ wirklich superlecker)
