A great welcome at this quirky hotel in a great location

Fabulous views, quaint furniture and crockery in public areas, fabulously clean bathroom and a wonderful view from the bedroom. Restaurants 10 minutes walk down pretty riverside path. Castle looked amazing especially at night and we hope to climb up and see it next time we come.

Crossing the parking area felt a little precarious. Otherwise lovely.

Very unique hotel lovely host very cheerful breakfast was very good but the view was amazing from our room .would recommend as very reasonable price good location 10 min walk into town .

Beautiful view from the room and nice breakfast

The room was nice, clean, and spacious with a very beautiful view to the river. Location is very close to the center, only 7 minutes walking to restaurants and supermarket. The breakfast was good and the owner was kind enough to let us check out a little bit later. There is also a coffee machine and some biscuits near the entrance :)

Quirky with lots of character

A bit like walking into an antiques shop - place has great character. Tremendous views from spacious bedroom and bathroom. Very comfortable bed. Pleasant walk into the town along the river. Good breakfast and pleasant helpful owner. Would stay again..

Location & Breakfast was the best in La Roche

Fantastic location, easy walk to town, right across the street from the town tank & an awesome view of the castle. The included breakfast was perfect.

For some people, they may think it a little worn, but we love old buildings & overall it seemed clean.

La Roche is a great location with an old castle and walks and a gibier park nearby.

I had stayed there 30 years before so was very nostalgic. I overlooked the fact that the hotel is in need of a great makeover etc but luckily the owner had kept a good number of rooms - possibly 10 - which could be occupied. all clean with amazing views. I would recommend people staying there as the location is amazing and the owner very helpful and offers a very varied breakfast.

Loved it!

WE LOVED IT! This place feels like the best kind of time capsule, mixed with the coziness of a grandparents house. There was lots of personality here, and after staying in several modern hotels on our point-to-point trip, this was all our favorite. Breakfast was plentiful, and we loved the coffee containers on the table. We would happily stay here again!

Staff is very nice, really very helpful and accommodating. Breakfast is better than most central-European ones and it is served in an cosy lounge. Free parking right front of the hotel. Heating worked well.

Acoustic isolation inside is quite weak, particularly the noises from corridor can be easily heard. However, as it is quite small hotel, only a few people moving around, this is not a big problem. Also, as it is three star hotel, furnitures are quite rudimental. Again, as I was there for hiking, it was quite okay and fitting for my type of trip. Finally, there is somewhat busy road/street right under the windows, the noise could disturb someone. Calms down for the darkest part of the night though and windows have double glazing.

Amazing location, with panoramic hilltop view on the town and castle. Wonderful and very spacious art gallery bar on the ground floor. Breakfast was brilliant and very delicious and plenty. The place looks like a museum with tens of paintings ... hanging all over the place. The staff were very friendly. The big plus is the location once you get a room with the view of the castle.

Tons of charm, great service from the owner himself. Breakfast absolutely amazing - some of the best croissants I've had in Belgium. My room had a fantastic view over the old town. The room was huge.

It's a bit of an old hotel with all that entails. The beds were pretty small and not super comfortable. Strange configuration in the bathroom

Fijne hotel om een paar dagen te verblijven als je op doorreis bent

De ambiance met al die schilderijen en snuisteren. Heerlijke sfeer! Super aardige mensen. Mijn moeder mocht gewoon langs komen. Ook toen we er nog niet waren. Ze mocht zelfs even wat neerleggen in onze kamer. Zo lief

Ach, niet echt. Af en toe viel de elektriciteit uit, maar daar konden ze toch ook niks aan doen. Gewoon maar even wachten en dan kwam het wel weer goed
