We loved EVERYTHING about this very special apartment on ground floor of an 800-year-old palazzo but completely modernized and comfortable. We've traveled a lot and this was one of the best and most memorable places we've ever stayed, thanks largely to the incredible location, literally on the Grand Canal (the water laps right up to the four big windows) but also to the comfort and layout of the apartment. It was even nicer than the photos, with the large (and warm) bedroom in the back with super comfy big bed, two pleasant bathrooms, and well-equipped kitchen (and even washing machine if you need it). You can tell that the host takes great pride in giving guests a good experience, including leaving a bottle of prosecco, providing nice glassware and crisp clean bed linens, and being available for questions and recommendations. Being on the same landing as the vaporetta made getting there and returning to train station super easy--and on the day that it poured, it was great to just jump on it to take a trip up and down the Grand Canal. Some other guests have noted that it can be loud in the front room because of the vaporetta and other boats, but we didn't find it a problem at all (the convenience of the vaporetta more than made up for it, plus we live in NYC where the noise is much more so it didn't sound loud at all to us). Also, the location is ideal, being so close to restaurants and shops but away from the crowds, and it was really fun walking through the campo and through a "tunnel" to get there. The cost was a splurge for us but so worth it--we will never forget our time there. Thank you, Cristina.

The apartment was amazing especially having the canal just right by your windows! I love hearing the water in the mornings. Depending on the day though, boats will be docking right in front. We booked Christmas Eve until the 2nd and it was an absolutely pleasurable experience. The location was perfect too! The property is clean, well stocked with all the basics such as towels, shower gel, soap, comfy comforters, pillows, etc.

Water view
Directions weren’t as good as they could be. Zoom out map would be easier. We were walking all around with bags trying to find it when it was very close to the taxi station. A better map would resolve this problem
