A very convenient and comfortable base for a short stay in Derby

We stayed over the Christmas period. It was a perfect base for our visit to relatives. The apartment was well appointed and equipped and was very convenient for the centre of Derby - ideal for our purposes.

Sound insulation between properties is a bit lacking - could hear people talking in a normal voice thru the wall.

A bit disappointing

The location is good. It’s nice to have kitchen in the property.

It’s not the cleanest. My linen was dusty and I’ve found multiple hairs on it which is not ideal. The toilet seat was stained and I managed to wipe unknown yellow stains off it. Dishes were greasy. The flat does not feel well maintained, despite having good facilities to start with. Shower area was mouldy, toilet floor was permanently stained…etc. Be prepared to take the stairs. As I’ve got a top floor flat, it was challenging to get my heavy luggage up and down the property.

Our host, Sara, was extremely obliging and professional, kindly accommodating a small request from us. The key collection and drop-off instructions were very clear, making everything simple and stress-free. We were delighted with the property — it had everything we needed and more. The location was perfect too, within walking distance to the town centre and in a lovely quiet area. Highly recommended!

A proper clean and quiet little place to stay in Derby

Very clean & quiet. Great location for the Cathedral Quarter. Fantastic facilities, they really did think of everything. Easy key pickup and drop facilities. All round fantastic stay, will come again.

Very little to dislike. The kitchen bin had not been emptied from the previous occupants, but was very quickly remedied by a really efficient and friendly lady, who apologised profusely. TV interaction with remote control was appallingly slow, like 2 seconds to respond to any click; very frustrating, but hey, first world problems. We wished the bed was bigger than a standard double, but it was very comfortable and it's not their fault we have a bigger bed at home!

Functional amd quiet

Functional and fairly spacious. Two bathrooms, secure parking. An EV charger less than a block away in the Enterprise Centre. It’s an old building with thick walls and heavy doors so it’s quiet inside.

The location is nondescript. Ok if you’re on a business trip and don’t plan to explore the neighbourhood I guess. Ten minutes walk to the east it gets much nicer. It’s really a three-star property. Everything is functional (and quite new) but cheap, and I didn’t see anything get cleaned in the week I was there. Tiny, tiny shower cubicles, and the bathroom fans didn’t work at all (one didn’t switch on and the other was so dusty it didn’t move any air).

Excellent as ever I’d definitely stay there again

My third visit. Great to have secure free parking so close to the centre of town. Friendly helpful staff. Would certainly return.

The decoration is beginning to look a bit tired eg the floor covering in kitchen and sitting area is buckling. However the general appearance is still pretty good.

It was our own little house with an upstairs. It was very clean and all facilities were accessible.

Every time the exit gate opened it echoed through the house like a loud horn sound. The stairway was quite dark at the bottom and because the first step is quite steep maybe a sensor light could be added to the foot of the stairs? Also as access is straight into a street, an extra lock on inside of front door may provide more security.

Derby a City of Culture

The Location near to the city centre, museum, cathedral , walkable distance to Derby Arboretum and Public park ( 30 to 40 minutes) The accommodation was clean Excellent well equipped kitchen. Tea bag , coffee sachets and uht milk provided, had hoped for cereal, milk and biscuits like the other guests had mentioned in comments Fresh towels and white cotton duvet cover , mattress protector Large shower. Car Park Excellent Security system to collect and return key Excellent and timely communication from the company 10 out of 10.👍😊 Although I have commented on the issues I didn't like as much I would stay here again and recommend to others . Our next visit I will book a larger apartment / accommodation .

The bed was small and uncomfortable, personal preference, but maybe ok for some people The accommodation felt cramped kitchen, dining area and sitting area in a small space . I had booked a Deluxe one bedroom appartment and had expected more square footage / living space Small sofa which I found very uncomfortable to sit on. Accommodation entrance on a street which was noisy from general public on one of the evenings. A chain lock would be a good addition as the door opened onto a public path and road There are secondary windows which do block out the traffic noise. Shower , water was too hot unable to turn to a much cooler setting, an anti slip mat would be a good idea in the shower. The company are contactable but as we were there for only 2 nights this wasn't a major issue for us.

Nice and spacious but the smell was off putting.

Location was quiet, and a 10min walk into the centre. The secure parking was great, and picking up and dropping off keys was very quick and easy. Spacious and everything needed for a 3 night stay, kitchen was well equipped.

Not a big issue but there was a strong not overly pleasant cooking smell in the apartment that was either from elsewhere in the building or previous guests. It was there for the full 3 nights we were there and was engrained in all of our clothes when we got home, so they had to be washed even if unworn and clean.

A comfortable stay

The location was perfect, the apartment had just about everything we needed and the friendly staff went above and beyond regarding our request where possible. The security patrol made us feel safe too.

Unfortunately facing the road had two downsides. Firstly the noise (admittedly I’m a light sleeper) - I didn’t feel too safe leaving the windows open for fresh air in the warm weather either especially overnight. The fan was most welcomed - the staff also offered a “sleep pack” which was appreciated but it was a shame we were unable to change rooms due to the property being sold out. Secondly, privacy was a problem. As the windows looked straight out onto the road without any frosting or blinds the only option when trying to get dressed was to either do so in the small (windowless) bathroom or in the bedroom with the lights on and curtains closed. The apartment was tired in places, but otherwise good value for money.

Brilliant place 👏

Easy to find and great bonus having secure parking, once we figured out that it was the 3rd gate along. Maybe note that in your arrival info as there is a business logo at the first gate which caused us some confusion. Nice and close to town centre. Easy key pick up and entry. Everything we needed for a comfy stay . Fresh milk, breakfast Cereal and bottled water in addition to the tea, coffee and biscuits was a super thoughtful touch Lovely clean bedding and towels. Great shower and well stocked kitchen. Would be quite easy to stay a lot longer. Easy key deposit on exit. Deposit returned promptly. First class !!!!!!

Seems sad to mention it but we had a mucky switch for the bathroom light however in view of the sparkling cleanliness of the rest of the place it must have been a pure oversight.

A fantastic stay in a perfect location for weddings at the West Mill!

Not suitable for people who like sleep and dont like used condoms!

We had apartment 21 On arrival, it felt dark and dingy, but we planned to be out a lot / just sleep there, so not too much of a concern. Just needed a clean room and bed really. Then we realised that sleep was unlikely due to: Non-existent sound proofing - from no soft close on front door (so everyone sounded like they slammed it open and shut!), any movement (people, washing machine) in apartment above felt amplified and constant, could hear people speaking from every direction (outside and in building) Fridge motor was intermittently whirring/loud noises (switched off when we were in the room) Bed sheets didnt fit - double bed but felt like a single bed sheet, so skidded about if moved in any direction. No mattress or pillow protectors. Cleanliness was the biggest concern - stains on everything , stains all over mattress, mould and dirt in bathroom, stains all over entryway...then after something rolled under the bed, we had the joy of finding used condoms, dirty underwear and mounds of debris and dirt. We contacted the company to report this and they replied very promptly (within 5 minutes on a Sunday) to tell us "we were sensitive" but they'd get someone to clean under the bed. We arrived back to the room and the entire bedsheets had been scrunched up and thrown into middle of the bed, presumably while they changed the bottom sheet to one that fitted. They had cleaned the used condom and dirt away though, so lucky us.

Property was okay but had not been checked properly between bookings.

The bed was comfortable

The process for getting into the property was more complicated that all previous bookings. The bathrooms were not clean especially around the toilet. There were hairs on the carpet in one of the bedrooms. Two of the four glasses were chipped.
