Wonderful Stay at The "Look Out"
We had a fantastic stay at The "Look Out," which is ideally located just a short walk from both the town and the coast—making it perfect for easy access to everything. The property was incredibly spacious and felt very homely, offering a comfortable retreat after a day of exploring. It was great to read in the visitors' book that the owners have taken on board suggestions from previous guests, which shows their commitment to improving the experience for everyone. (I had planned to add my own entry, but unfortunately, I forgot before we left.)
The bedding, mattresses, and pillows were all very comfortable, and the lighting in the lounge—especially the lamps—created a lovely atmosphere. We were also pleased with the thoughtful touches, such as tea, coffee, biscuits, and milk waiting for us on arrival. The personal parking space was convenient, though it was a bit of a squeeze, it was still very manageable.
The large utility room was well-equipped with everything we needed, and the heating system was easy to operate, warming the space up quickly. There were plenty of towels available, with extra towels in the utility area for added convenience.
Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay and would definitely visit again. Highly recommended!
Things to Note for Improvement:
While we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, there are a few things that could be addressed for future guests. The exterior of the shower cubicle looked a bit tired and could benefit from a thorough clean. Unfortunately, the toilet was not as clean as expected on arrival. Additionally, the toilet roll holder fell off twice during our stay. The skirting boards had quite a bit of dust on them—though I didn’t go searching for it, it was noticeable.
In the second bedroom, the carpet is starting to fray and may need replacing soon. The light on the extractor fan in the kitchen isn’t working, and the toilet seat in the separate toilet was broken and very loose. There was also a large hole in the ceiling on the landing that could use attention.
It would be a nice addition to have some curtains in the lounge, as well as a small sensor light for the key safe so it’s easier to see in the evening. A small selection of condiments like salt (empty) and oil would also have been handy. We noticed that the teapot hadn't been cleaned inside, and the kettle could use descaling. Finally, it would be great to have a small poof in the lounge for extra comfort.

The parking is tricky. I would suggest parking on the nearest car park to avoid trying to park in a very small space.

The very central location for both beach and town centre. The beds are comfortable and it was a winter week and the place was lovely and warm apart from the bathroom.
No blind in the bathroom and no radiator, just a heated towel rail which didn't warm the room up in November. There isn't enough soft lighting throughout. The lighting in the kitchen is just overhead and so you can't have softer lighting on to eat as the kitchen serves as the dining area also. Out of the control of the owners, but a neighbour has a LED light rope outside their house at the side and it flashes through different sequences of light all night into the bedroom window resulting in a couple of nights having to move into a front bedroom.

Spacious clean well equipped accommodation.
Arriving in the dark & rain a little difficult to find down the small back alley for parking also.

The location was great - close to the centre of Cromer, so we could walk from the train station and then out to the shops and to the beach. The Lookout was really clean and comfortable and I really appreciated that there were biscuits, teabags and some fresh milk in the fridge so that we could make a cup of tea on arrival.
As the house is called The Lookout, I naively thought there might be some kind of view. There are no views to be had at all, which was a shame.
The house sleeps six, so there were only 6 plates, 6 cups, 6 side plates, which meant that we had to wash things up by hand every time we used something, but there were no tea towels to dry with. There were clear instructions on rubbish disposal, but there was no bin liner in the bin and none to be found in the cupboards or the drawers. These small things, together with the lack of a hair dryer, make a big difference on a self-catering holiday.

The whole experience was excellent. Excellent location, property was clean and the welcome pack gave it the final touch. Everything one would need to have a enjoyable stay. Thanks.
The one issue which could have turned out to be a big problem was nowhere in the description did it mention not suitable for individuals with mobility problems. One person was 88 and only after I booked did it say that there will be 10 stairs leading up to the property. But all the stairs inside the property was not even mentioned. This should be in the property description so those with mobility issues are not surprised and not make it upstairs to the kitchen and living room
Thanks
